The Opportunity

This role plays a critical part in the Analytics & Insights (A&I) team within Global Procurement (GP), focused on evolving our Analytics Solutions capability from traditional Business Intelligence and dashboard delivery toward modern, scalable analytics products and decision-support experiences. By partnering closely with Business Partnering, Data Engineering, and the Digital team, we drive best practices in analytics and ensure our solutions are optimized for accurate, efficient, and high-impact decision making.

As the A&I Solutions Lead, you will apply structured product-thinking, facilitation, and execution to improve procurement's analytical capabilities. You will define and execute the product strategy for how users consume data and insights across defined domains (e.g., Cash, Performance, Sustainability). Leveraging your deep expertise in analytics and procurement, you will proactively identify and implement scalable solutions that positively impact both capability and functional objectives, transitioning the team away from general ad-hoc reporting.

Crucially, while the Digital team leads the development of AI-powered capabilities, you will collaborate closely with them to support these initiatives. This will involve acting as the analytics domain expert for AI Proof of Concepts (PoCs), ensuring the right high-quality data and structured analysis are provided to make advanced digital solutions successful.

Working closely with other team members and leads, you will serve as a peer coach, project or workstream lead, or team lead, ensuring the integration of best practices and the deployment of reusable analytics solutions throughout the broader procurement function.

Depending on your experience, knowledge, and business/team requirements, your responsibilities as Analytics & Insights Lead in A&I Solutions will include:

• Managing complex team situations, including prioritization, capacity planning, and general team and people management.
• Overseeing the team’s transition from low-value dashboards toward targeted, high-impact data solutions, whilst also focussing on accurate operational reporting.
• Defining and owning the roadmap for Analytics products, rationalizing the existing portfolio to reduce duplication, and increasing reuse and scalability.
• Partnering closely with the Digital team to support the delivery of AI-powered solutions and advanced analytics, ensuring they are fed with high-quality, well-structured data.
• Collaborating with Data Engineering and Digital to ensure the underlying data foundations meet the requirements for both traditional analytics and advanced digital capabilities.
• Working closely with Analytics Business Partners to identify recurring stakeholder problems and translate agreed business needs and decision-making processes into product capabilities.
• Defining and embedding standards for ways of working, including user discovery, prototyping, iterative delivery, and adoption measurement based on business value rather than solely on dashboard usage.
• Promoting strong operational reporting and consistent KPI definitions as the foundation for analytics products.
• Influencing stakeholders and cross-functional teams to challenge requests constructively, focusing on the underlying business problem rather than automatically delivering the requested solution.

Who you are:

• You hold a university degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• You have 7-10 years of work experience with significant experience leading Analytics or BI teams and complex analytics initiatives.
• You possess a strong understanding of modern BI and Analytics architectures, data modelling, KPI definitions, and data quality governance.
• You have experience collaborating with Digital, IT, or Data Science teams to deliver complex or advanced analytics projects and understand how data integrates with AI applications.
• You are product-minded, starting with user problems and business outcomes rather than technical deliverables, and you evaluate technologies based on business value.
• You are highly collaborative and excel at working across boundaries, specifically partnering with Digital and Data Engineering teams without needing to own their domains.
• You are strategic and business-oriented, able to define a long-term vision while delivering incremental value and distinguishing valuable innovation from hype.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize competing requirements based on business value.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business audiences.
• You demonstrate curiosity, active listening, and a willingness to experiment and test new ideas, with a strong focus on continuous learning and improvement.
• You are open-minded and inclusive, readily sharing ideas and knowledge, while also being receptive to feedback from others.
• You are fluent in English at a business level.
