Job Description Summary

As a Test Analyst, you will own end-to-end quality validation across multiple testing layers—UI, API, database, and integration. This role combines technical depth in test automation and SQL with emerging expertise in AI-driven testing and prompt engineering. You will collaborate cross-functionally with development, data engineering, and product teams to ensure robust quality assurance and drive continuous improvement in test coverage and efficiency.

 

Job Description

Major accountabilities: 

Location : Hyderabad#Hybrid

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive automation scripts for UI, API, and backend validation using frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium
• Execute end-to-end system validation across database layers, user interfaces, and integration touchpoints, identifying gaps and documenting findings
• Craft and optimize advanced SQL queries (joins, transformations, stored procedures) to validate data integrity and verify business logic
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback loops
• Leverage GenAI and prompt engineering to generate test scenarios, SQL queries, and synthetic test data at scale
• Apply AI capabilities such as self-healing locators and intelligent regression selection to improve test maintenance and execution efficiency
• Partner with developers, data engineers, and product owners to refine requirements, acceptance criteria, and test coverage strategies
• Log, track, and prioritize defects in Jira or similar platforms; deliver clear, actionable test reports and root-cause analysis
• Maintain compliance with standard operating procedures, data governance policies, and organizational quality standards.

Essential Requirements: 

• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex joins, data transformations, and stored procedures
• Proven hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and performance testing methodologies
• Proficiency with Jira or similar test and defect management tools
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities; ability to distill complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Experience with AI/ML-driven testing platforms or GenAI-assisted test creation tools
• Demonstrable experience with prompt engineering for generating test scenarios or SQL queries
• Ability to evaluate and integrate AI tools into existing automation workflows

Desirable Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with ETL/data pipeline validation and backend data quality assurance
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including array formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques. Exposure to data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting platforms
• Background in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, healthcare, financial services) or familiarity with compliance frameworks (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR)
