At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work,</p> <p><strong><u>What You'll Do</u></strong></p> <p><span style="font-size: 14px;">The </span><span style="font-size: 14px;">Sr. Accounting Manager</span><span style="font-size: 14px;"> is an integral part of a growing accounting team and is responsible for overseeing the general ledger close process (including fixed assets, leases, G&A accruals, among others). This role combines hands-on technical accounting responsibilities with people leadership and end-to-end process ownership. The position currently reports to the Director of Accounting and requires close collaboration with various internal business partners and third-party service providers.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 14px;">A successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is proactive, highly organized, results-oriented, and analytical, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. This individual exercises sound judgment, takes ownership of outcomes, and is highly motivated to consistently deliver high-quality results while supporting the growth and scalability of the organization.</span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 14px;">Responsibilities:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for assigned accounts</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for assigned accounts</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Manage, coach, and lead two or more team members to support the Company’s evolving business needs</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Own sections of the quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), including preparation and review of footnote disclosures</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Own complex accounting areas relevant to biotech, including leasing accounting (ASC 842), fixed assets, G&A operating expenses, prepaids and accruals, and taxes</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Identify and escalate emerging accounting risks in a timely manner and recommend appropriate accounting positions</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Maintain and enhance SOX-compliant internal controls</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Coordinate with internal and external auditors and manage audit requests</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Manage strategic partnerships with FP&A, Tax, Legal, IT and Operations</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Identify control gaps and implement remediation plans</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Develop accounting policies, procedures, and documentation</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce manual work, and enhance data quality</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Provide mentorship and career development opportunities, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Support global expansion initiatives by establishing accounting processes for new entities and jurisdictions</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Where You'll Work</u></strong></p> <p><span style="font-size: 14px;">This is a hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration two or more days per week at our San Francisco or Palo Alto Office.</span></p> <p><strong><u>Who You Are</u></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">10+ years of relevant experience, including a combination of Big 4 (or similar) audit experience with SEC-registered clients and industry experience</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Biotech industry experience strongly preferred</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Experience with ERP and finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa)</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Proficiency in AI-enabled tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini</span></li> <li><strong>AI Requirements:</strong> <ul> <li><strong>Foundational Knowledge:</strong> Understanding of AI concepts, including machine learning, natural language processing, and data-driven decision-making</li> <li><strong>Applied Skills:</strong> Demonstrated experience using AI tools and platforms (e.g., generative AI, predictive analytics, automation solutions) to solve business problems or improve workflows</li> <li><strong>Problem-Solving with AI:</strong> Ability to identify opportunities where AI can add value, evaluate potential risks or limitations, and implement solutions effectively</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Behavioral Characteristics:</strong> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Strong work ethic with sound judgement and the ability to work independently</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Ability to manage high-volume transactions in a fast-paced environment</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Results and detail-oriented mindset with continuous improvement focus</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Strong organizational and prioritization skills</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Excellent written and verbal communication skills</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">High sense of urgency with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex, time-sensitive issues</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">High degree of organizational agility and discretion when managing sensitive matters across all levels of the organization</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while  remaining calm and effective under pressure</span></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Rewarding Those Who Make the Mission Possible</u></strong></p> <p>We have high expectations for our team members.
