The architect will be part of a high-performing team of SAP Warehouse management experts, collaborating closely with peers to ensure global operational stability, share knowledge effectively, and take ownership of critical tasks as business priorities evolve. </div><div> </div><div>You will play a pivotal role in balancing operational excellence with regulatory compliance—bringing modern warehousing capabilities to life within the rigor of a GxP-regulated environment. </div><div>Roles & Responsibilities: </div><div><ul><li>Architect, design, and optimize SAP EWM/WM solutions across Amgen’s global manufacturing, packaging, and distribution network. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Work as part of a global SAP WM/SRM/EWM expert team, providing coverage, technical leadership, and proactive support across multiple sites and time zones. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Maintain end-to-end documentation, including functional specs, technical designs, validation documentation, and test evidence, per Amgen’s quality and compliance standards (GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11). </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Identify and resolve data discrepancies between ERP and EWM (e.g., mismatched deliveries, open tasks, HU inconsistencies, or stock variances) through proactive monitoring and corrective strategies. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Support existing interfaces between EWM and external warehouse and automation systems such as ASRS, conveyor systems, MES etc. ensuring synchronized operations and real-time communication. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Translate complex business requirements into system configuration or functional specifications, ensuring alignment with best practices and business needs. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Basic Qualifications and Experience: </div><div><ul><li>Doctorate degree or master’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 7–8 years of SAP implementation experience in SAP WM and EWM.   </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 10 - 12 years of SAP implementation experience in SAP WM and EWM </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Diploma in computer science or STEM majors and 14 plus years of IT or years of SAP implementation experience in SAP WM and EWM </li></ul></div><div>Functional Skills: </div><div>Must-Have Skills: </div><div><ul><li>Hands-on SAP WM/SRM (Stock Room Management) and EWM experience, with proven expertise in solution design and configuration. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Deep experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM, including both embedded and decentralized deployments. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong command of EWM core processes, including: </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Inbound/Outbound Processing </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Put away, Picking, and Replenishment Strategies </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Wave and Warehouse Order Creation Rules </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Physical Inventory and Stock Reconciliation </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Packaging Specifications, RF Framework, and Work Centers </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Solid understanding of Logistics Execution (LE) – Shipping, and its integration with EWM and TM for end-to-end delivery management. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to coordinate across global teams and take initiative when priorities shift. </li></ul></div><div> </div></div><div><div>Good-to-Have Skills: </div><div><ul><li>Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Background in Life Sciences, Biotech, or pharmaceutical environments preferred. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Familiarity with Agile methodologies for software delivery and process improvement. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Professional Certifications: </div><div><ul><li>SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP EWM or SAP S/4HANA (preferred) </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Agile Certified Practitioner (preferred) </li></ul></div><div> </div><div> Soft Skills: </div><div><ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance. </li></ul></div><div>Shift Information:This position requires you to work a later shift and may be assigned a second shift schedule.
