Role Overview

·       Our IT organization partners closely with the business to deliver practical digital solutions that strengthen enterprise capabilities, improve efficiency, and accelerate innovation across R&D.

·       In this role, you will help design, develop, test, and support generative AI solutions integrated with enterprise R&D applications.

·       You will contribute to production-grade AI solutions, data pipelines, and application features while collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant capabilities in a regulated environment.

What you will do :

·       Build a strong understanding of the company’s biopharmaceutical R&D business processes, systems, and data, with particular focus on clinical, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance domains.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including business technology partners, product managers, data scientists, and software engineers, to understand requirements and support solution delivery.

·       Contribute to a team culture grounded in learning, curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

·       Stay current with emerging tools, technologies, and industry trends, and share relevant insights with the broader team.

·       Apply established architecture principles, engineering standards, and development best practices while building and supporting solutions.

·       Create and maintain technical documentation, reusable assets, and implementation patterns that improve consistency and delivery quality.

·       Design, develop, test, and support generative AI solutions, including LLM-based and retrieval-augmented capabilities, for regulatory document authoring use cases.

·       Apply prompt engineering techniques, templates, and evaluation methods to improve model quality, safety, and performance.

·       Support retrieval capabilities such as vector search and semantic search in collaboration with senior team members.

·       Help build AI-enabled workflows and application features using LLMs, prompts, guardrails, and enterprise integrations to support critical business processes.

·       Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes that support scalable and reliable AI solutions.

·       Integrate AI models and services into enterprise applications and backend systems, including APIs and microservices.

·       Support model deployment, monitoring, and operational processes in partnership with senior engineers.

·       Ensure adherence to data quality, privacy, security, and compliance requirements across model training and inference workflows.

·       Partner with product, UX, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into dependable, production-ready features.

·       Contribute to team best practices, testing standards, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

What Should you have :

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

·       3+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on exposure to AI/ML systems, data engineering, or applied analytics solutions.

·       Working knowledge of generative AI concepts and technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt-driven applications.

·       Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, or equivalent tools.

·       Experience building or supporting data pipelines and working with both structured and unstructured data.

·       Familiarity with vector databases, semantic search, or related retrieval approaches.

·       Understanding of model deployment, monitoring, and MLOps concepts.

·       Solid backend development skills, including experience with APIs and service-oriented application design.

·       Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

·       Understanding of data governance, privacy, and the secure handling of sensitive datasets.

·       Proficiency with Git and collaborative software development practices.

·       Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Secondary Skills: Reactfor AI,Pharma/clinical. Pharacovigilance exp.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience in the pharmaceutical, clinical, regulatory, or pharmacovigilance domains is an advantage.

·       Exposure to prompt evaluation, testing, model quality assessment, or responsible AI practices is a plus.

·       Experience with front-end technologies such as TypeScript or React for AI-enabled applications is desirable.
