Amgen helped establish the biotechnology industry more than 40 years ago and remains on the cutting-edge of innovation, using technology and human genetic data to push beyond what’s known today. </div><div>ABOUT THE ROLE </div><div>Role Description: </div><div>The Specialist Software Engineer collaborates with Salesforce/Veeva CRM Admins, Data Engineers, and Architects to streamline the delivery of Veeva CRM/Salesforce solutions via Amgen’s Copado-based CI/CD pipelines. Develop/configure applications that can be used on the go (mobile-first) using standards-based solutions such as Lightning Web Components, toolset will include Visual Studio Code, SFDX, working with tools such as Copado CI/CD, Git and support integration technologies such as MuleSoft or Databricks. This role involves configuring and custom coding within CRM (Salesforce or Vault) to build features that support Sales business users. </div><div>Roles & Responsibilities: </div><div><ul><li>Leads development in Salesforce/Veeva CRM to build/configure new and existing features </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Works closely with Product Owners and cross functional Development Teams to plan and schedule releases, providing guidance on release dependencies, technical constraints, and risks </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Supports the development teams in automating build, test, and deployment processes, enabling continuous integration and continuous delivery in the Salesforce/Veeva ecosystem </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting for post-release issues, ensuring timely resolution of any problems that arise </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Maintain and optimize existing configurations and customizations by limiting/eliminating tech debt to streamline the system </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Partner with Development Teams to ensure agile software delivery and DevOps practices are applied to move most effectively within our CI/CD pipeline </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Research Veeva/Salesforce capabilities as needed to suit business requirements, and provide gap analysis </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Work closely with other developers in the team including Product Owner, Business Analyst, Salesforce Admins, QA analyst and Scrum Master, cross functional teams </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop innovative solution using generative AI technologies </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Create and maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Design, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions and systems and translate them into software architecture and design specifications </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the software </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Maintain detailed documentation of software designs, code, and development processes </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Drive Production Support for CRM to ensure efficient service to system users </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Basic Qualifications and Experience: </div><div><ul><li>Doctorate Degree OR </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Master’s degree with 6 - 12 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree with 8 - 13 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR Diploma with 10 -
