Software Test Engineer II, Informatix

<p>The Software Test Engineer II, Alpha Informatix will help test client applications for the IOA/IOB/SafeOp platform.&nbsp; This includes active participation in all stages of the software development life cycle, including sustaining.&nbsp; Projects will include, but not be limited to, Windows applications and frameworks, embedded systems, and data aggregators/gateways.</p><p></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Work along with a test lead in a development team to conduct complex software testing activities including design and execution of software test plans and test cases to ensure they meet quality, reliability, and design requirements</li><li>Analyze functional and business requirements and develop test automation where appropriate</li><li>Execute automated and manual tests in a continuous integration environment to ensure software quality is fit for purpose</li><li>Perform integration and system level testing of software and software/hardware systems</li><li>Contribute to innovation and process improvement efforts</li><li>Perform task estimation and develop software projects according to project plan</li><li>Provide proactive, transparent, and concise communication on project status</li><li>Develop documentation related to software development projects (design artifacts, test plans/cases, etc.)</li><li>Collaborate and work effectively with globally distributed teams</li></ul> <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><ul><li>2 - 5 years of experience testing commercial software on the Windows operating system&nbsp;</li><li>Understanding of .Net Framework, .Net Core, applications and deployment in native and virtualized environments&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Experience testing a general purpose 'embedded' device (ie.&nbsp;a Windows-based computer that is connected to other devices (camera, electrodes, etc...)), with hands on experience testing the devices using the actual hardware (preferred, not mandatory)</strong></li><li>Experience with edge testing for IoT solutions a plus (Azure and/or AWS)&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with Agile methodologies preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with programming/scripting languages (such as C#, Python, Java Script, etc.)&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with creating batch files.
