Lead, mentor, and manage the Verification/QA team for mobile applications.
Define verification strategies, testing standards, and quality benchmarks across projects.
Allocate verification tasks, manage priorities, and ensure timely execution of testing activities.
Drive accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the verification team.
Conduct regular reviews, coaching sessions, and performance feedback for team members.
Build a culture of quality, attention to detail, and proactive risk identification.
Own end-to-end verification sign-off for Android and iOS releases.
Design and oversee execution of functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability, and release validation testing.
Ensure complete verification coverage across devices, OS versions, screen sizes, and critical business flows.
Establish release readiness criteria and verification gates before production deployment.
Analyze defects, identify root causes of verification gaps, and implement preventive quality measures.
Track quality metrics such as defect leakage, verification effectiveness, release stability, and production escape trends.
Define and improve QA processes, test documentation standards, and defect management workflows.
Introduce scalable verification practices to improve release confidence and reduce production issues.
Drive test planning, risk assessment, and quality reviews during sprint cycles.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve requirement clarity and testability.
Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and release reviews.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and compliance requirements.
Review test scenarios, test cases, and defect reports to ensure completeness and quality.
Work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues efficiently.
Coordinate verification activities for major feature launches, hotfixes, and production incidents.
Support API validation, backend verification, and integration testing activities where needed.
Contribute to automation adoption strategy and identify opportunities for process optimization.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years of experience in software testing/verification with at least 4+ years in mobile application testing.
2+ years of experience leading or mentoring QA/Verification teams.
Strong expertise in Android and iOS mobile application testing.
Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, release management, and QA best practices.
Strong experience in defect tracking and test management tools such as TFS, Jira, TestRail, or similar.
Ability to define test strategies, verification plans, and release sign-off criteria.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coordination abilities.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
Exposure to mobile automation frameworks and automation strategy planning.
Experience handling production verification, release certification, and go-live validation.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern release workflows.
Experience testing applications involving payments, notifications, offline functionality, or real-time features.
Familiarity with quality metrics dashboards and reporting.
Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail.
Ability to balance speed and quality in fast-paced environments.
Leadership through collaboration, coaching, and accountability.
Proactive problem-solving and risk management approach.
Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences through quality engineering.
