<h1><b><b><b>Job Description Summary</b></b></b></h1>GE HealthCare is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Visualization team. This team develops core services that enable our products to run cutting-edge medical applications. As an intern, you will be part of an Agile Scrum team, contributing to backend feature development, automated testing, verification campaigns, bug fixes, and documentation.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h1><b>Job Description</b></h1><p><b>Roles and Responsibilities</b><br />As a Software Engineering Intern, you will:</p><ul><li>Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers and grow your technical expertise.</li><li>Write clean, maintainable code (primarily in Java) that meets project requirements and coding standards.</li><li>Develop and maintain automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression testing.</li><li>Contribute to manual test creation, execution, and documentation.</li><li>Assist in diagnosing and resolving software bugs.</li><li>Gain familiarity with GE HealthCare’s internal tools and development processes.</li><li>Help maintain high-quality project documentation.</li><li>Follow guidance and mentorship from senior team members.</li></ul><div></div><p><b>Qualifications / Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Ongoing university studies in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). <b>As this internship requires a minimum 12‑month commitment, a later expected graduation date (e.g., 2027 or beyond) will be considered an advantage.</b></li><li>Availability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week (up to 40 hours).</li><li>Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java is required).</li><li>Basic experience with Linux/Unix environments.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, especially regarding code quality, testability, maintainability, and documentation.</li><li>Residency in Hungary.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.</li><li>Strong team collaboration skills.</li><li>Interest in healthcare technologies and advanced visualization.</li><li>Willingness to work in a hybrid setup from GE HealthCare’s Váci Greens office (1–2 days/week onsite).</li></ul><div></div><p><b>Differentiators:</b></p><p>Knowledge in any of the following areas is a plus:</p><ul><li>GoLang</li><li>Scripting languages (preferably Bash or Python)</li><li>Containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)</li><li>Amazon AWS</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h1><b><b><b>Additional Information</b></b></b></h1><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p style="text-align:left"><b>Relocation Assistance Provided: </b>No</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>
