Software Developer – Simulation, 3D Modeling, Anatomy & UX

As a Software Developer, you will be part of a cross-functional team working on our products and functionalities within both customer- and in-house oriented projects. This includes developing simulation applications, 3D assets, anatomy, device configuration, scenarios and procedures in the Mentice Product Portfolio as well as drive improvements with high quality in close collaboration with other departments and colleagues.</span></p><p><span>This is a full-time on-site position located at our office in Göteborg, Sweden.</span></p><p><span><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Create mid-to-high level functionality for Mentice simulation software and virtual patient cases.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Model instrument and devices, veins, arteries, bones and internal organs. Create simulated anatomies from CT data, using segmentation software. Modify existing anatomies for new requirements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Create customer branding. Assist in developing GUI standard, images, logos.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop and maintain the tools and workflow for creating cases, anatomies, devices etc. for usage within the Mentice software.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Test and verification during development and before releases.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Up to 5% domestic/international travel.</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong>What you’ll need:</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Scientific with 2+ years of experience in software engineering, digital arts, 3D visualization, computer science, and/or IT.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Software development experience, with experience in C++, OpenGL, JavaScript, Qt/QML preferred.</span></p></li><li><p>Ability to balance long-term goals with short-term execution, manage daily activities, and collaboratively plan and organize tasks for both yourself and team members</p></li><li><p><span>On-site work required.</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong>What else we look for:</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>3D modeling software experience, with content development and/or gaming simulation experience preferred</span></p></li><li><p><span>You are a software developer who likes to code and grow your expertise, taking on the challenge of working with a complex product.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You have a genuine technical interest in simulators and ability to understand the needs of an end user.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You are self-motivated and want to work as a part of a cross functional team.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You have excellent communication skills and are proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You are a problem solver with a result-oriented mindset.</span></p></li><li><p>You are comfortable working with modern AI coding tools and agentic development workflows, and able to apply them pragmatically to build, test, and improve software</p></li><li><p><span>Medical knowledge, in particular anatomy, is a bonus</span></p></li></ul><p><span>Most important, we believe you are a person with a commitment and passion for driving change within the healthcare industry and in turn, be able to have impact on our company’s future business.
