Marmon Aerospace & Defense proudly supports the defense industry for Land, Sea, Air and Space applications by offering a full range of connectivity products and services, including custom wire and cable, coil cords, cable assemblies, tools, testing and training and installation services. We are the one-stop-shop for harsh environment connectivity solutions.
Our manufacturing center in Manchester, NH houses a dedicated team providing a complete product offering of high performance wire and cable using both high and low temperature materials and custom designs to meet the most exacting requirements. As an experienced manufacturer we assure that all of our products are engineered and manufactured with the highest level of expertise.
The Shipping Clerk is a full time position working 8AM-5PM M-F. This position must be able to work out of the Manchester, NH facility. This is a physical role and will require the employee to use proper lifting techniques to maintain safety.
- Prepare and label orders for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and palletizing.
- Wrap and strap pallets to ensure secure transport.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Move materials throughout the building as needed.
- Organize and maintain the storage of materials in the shipping and receiving area.
- Review and verify documentation, such as work orders and other paperwork, for accuracy.
- Schedule shipments with freight carriers, including FedEx, UPS, and others.
- Deliver materials to production areas when necessary.
- Perform inventory checks of shipping supplies and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support efficient operations.
- Manage return-to-stock processes accurately.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with inventory control.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
- 1–2 years of experience in shipping and receiving operations.
- Forklift operation experience is required.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and shipping platforms (e.g., UPS, FedEx, Winman).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve logistics challenges.
- Understanding of logistics and shipping/receiving operations.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate inventory management.
- Computer literacy and experience with relevant software applications.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and other department personnel.
- Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
- Must be willing to attain Forklift license
- This position requires physical demand. Must be able to occasionally lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, move between equipment, and aisles of product.
- Must be able to stand and move around production facility throughout entire shift if needed.
- Must be able to sit at a desk and conduct computer work for extended periods of time if needed.
