You will lead a dedicated team and serve as the primary point of contact for our building operations, ensuring a secure and environmentally responsible workplace that aligns with our global "Net Zero" ambitions. This is a unique opportunity to influence our team culture while managing critical infrastructure and security compliance in a dynamic environment.</span></p><p></p><p><b>The Opportunity</b></p><p></p><p><span>In this multifaceted leadership role, you will:</span></p><p></p><ul><li><p><span>Lead and oversee the SHE, Security and Facilities function for Portugal, fostering high employee engagement through regular coaching and development.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Architect and implement a visionary SHE strategy and monitor KPIs, overseeing corrective and preventative actions to mitigate risks.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Drive global sustainability priorities with a specific focus on achieving "Net Zero" emissions and protecting biodiversity. Analyse related indicators for continuous improvement and lead programs that promote resource efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental stewardship.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring high-quality risk assessments and incident investigations to mitigate organizational risks.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Manage and optimize facility service contracts, ensuring excellence in all campus operations and compliance with current standards and preventive maintenance plans and legal standards.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Act as the strategic advisor to the Leadership Team on all security matters, including physical access, risk analysis, and incident management.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Establish and maintain vital relationships with local law authorities, professional organizations, building tenants and Roche global functional networks.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for building tenants and collaborate with senior leadership to instill a culture of safety and accountability.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Who You Are</b></p><p></p><p><span>You are a visionary leader and a strategic thinker with a technical mindset who thrives on building collaborative relationships and driving sustainable change.</span></p><p></p><ul><li><p><span>You hold an Engineering degree.</span></p></li><li><p><span>With at least 5 years of professional experience in similar roles, you possess a deep understanding of SHE rules, regulations, and legislation. Your background includes expertise in building management and the assessment of facilities service providers, complemented by a strong grasp of sustainability, safety, and hygiene at work concepts.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You have proven ability in resolving complex sustainability and security issues.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You are skilled in managing change and can effectively inspire and influence stakeholders across the organization, establishing strong collaborative relationships.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You are a strategic thinker, with proven ability to link operational responsibilities with the mission of the whole organization and can think through problems clearly and logically. You are goal-oriented, persistent and focused on achieving outcomes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You are an open, truthful communicator who can effectively work with and influence stakeholders over whom you have no direct authority. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Portuguese and English for engaging effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders and global networked teams.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proximity to the Roche office in Amadora, Lisbon, for a comfortable commute.
