Powered by SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform, Axial provides the backbone for innovation, growth, and performance. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead projects that bring Clinical Supply onto the SAP S/4HANA platform. You will report to the program lead and work closely with the Clinical Supply IT Business Partner to ensure seamless delivery. </div><div>You will manage end-to-end supply chain processes, ideally with experience in clinical stages from study setup through to patient dispensing. This role requires coordinating activities across multiple system integration partners and managing third-party vendors for contract manufacturing and logistics. </div><div>PM Role requirements </div><div><ul><li>Project Leadership: Drive end-to-end projects with varying degrees of complexity, managing multiple workstreams in parallel across global domains like Operations, Finance, and R&D. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Financial Stewardship: Manage, control, and report project budgets accurately, maintaining financial health even during periods of change. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues, ensuring clear and concise reporting to senior stakeholders. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong partnerships across Business and Technology functions to ensure project alignment. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Methodology & Compliance: Maintain high standards of validation and compliance documentation using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. </li></ul></div><div>The role and core accountabilities </div><div><ul><li>Deliver comprehensive project plans including resource allocation, costs, roles, and quality metrics as defined by our IT Project Management Methodology. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Coordinate the status and delivery of project workstreams, identifying and managing dependencies across the wider portfolio. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Foster a collaborative and positive team environment that promotes knowledge sharing and effective teamwork. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manage changes to project scope, ensuring all impacts are approved and communicated to review boards and collaborators. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop service transition plans to ensure controlled hand-over into support and maintenance. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Establish program governance and lead Decision Point reviews to maintain rigorous quality standards. </li></ul></div><div>Essential skills, experience and qualifications </div><div><ul><li>Significant experience leading end-to-end programs within global, matrixed teams. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience in a technical or business field. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Clear and inclusive communication skills, with a proven ability to resolve conflict and build trust. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Practical experience with Agile and Waterfall frameworks, including familiarity with JIRA and automated testing tools. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong background in budget and supplier management within validated environments (GxP and SOX). </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>A proactive and curious mindset that drives continuous improvement and follows AZ Values and Behaviours. </li></ul></div><div>Desirable skills, experience and qualifications </div><div><ul><li>Project or programme management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2). </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience in Biopharma or Life Sciences, particularly within Operations or Clinical Supply Chains. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proven ability to work effectively across different countries and cultures. </li></ul></div><div>Why AstraZeneca? </div><div>We are dedicated to being a Great Place to Work where you are empowered to push the boundaries of science and unleash your entrepreneurial spirit.
