Job DescriptionSenior Specialist, Solution ArchitectureJob Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect with extensive experience in designing scalable architecture and infrastructure to support a standardized solution for our operations across the globe. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in scalable product design, database management, and integration strategies, complemented by a robust understanding of IT processes and compliance regulations. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional units to provide businesses with continuous support on commercial spend optimization, leveraging data-driven insights to maximize returns and minimize costs, ultimately unleashing the full potential of marketing investments.  <div>Key Responsibilities: </div><ul><li>Building Scalable Solution Architecture Designs: Lead the design and oversee implementation of scalable architecture to support the diverse needs of our global operations. Facilitate and guide the team through the architecture review process, incorporating feedback from the review committee to ensure compliance with industry best practices and company standards. </li><li>Environment and Access Provisioning: Oversee the setup and configuration of environments to ensure compatibility and alignment with existing frameworks, thereby optimizing workflows. Oversee access management for critical platforms, including GitHub, AWS, and other distribution lists, to maintain security and streamline collaboration across teams. </li><li>Database Management: Design, supervise, and optimize Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and database structures tailored to the specific requirements of various markets. Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and performance optimization while developing robust integration strategies for seamless data flow and interoperability among systems. </li><li>IT Process Navigation: Effectively navigate and manage key IT processes, including but not limited to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), architecture reviews, and compliance regulations, to ensure project alignment and adherence to standards. </li><li>Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams (tech team/ Developers) to facilitate the seamless integration of systems and solutions, promoting synergy and efficiency across the organization. </li></ul><div>Qualifications Education & Work Experience Requirements: </div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field with at least 10+ years relevant experience</li><li>Minimum 3 years' experience in building scalable solution architecture designs</li></ul><div>Skillset: </div><div>Candidates must have -</div><ul><li>Proficiency in architectural design and implementation, with a strong understanding of scalable architectures and cloud infrastructure. </li><li>Hands-on experience in python coding.</li><li>Expertise in cloud services (anyone) - AWS/ Azure/ GCP etc.</li><li>Expertise in database design and management, including experience with Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and SQL/NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization. </li><li>Hands-on experience navigating the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and familiarity with IT compliance regulations. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focused on optimizing workflows and enhancing system performance. </li><li>Experience in project management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and ensure project delivery within scope and budget constraints. </li></ul><div>Candidates are desired but not mandatory to have - </div><ul><li>Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is preferred. </li><li>Familiarity in building CI/CD pipelines</li></ul>Required Skills:Cloud Based Services, Python (Programming Language), Scalable Architectures, Solution ArchitecturePreferred Skills:Current Employees apply <a href="https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$6687.htmld" target="_blank">HERE</a>Current Contingent Workers apply <a href="https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$4020.htmld" target="_blank">HERE</a>Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
