Senior Software Engineer

This position will help enable, streamline, and scale lab operations in service of meeting established requirements and timelines. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of structuring and managing real-world processes and an eagerness to build value through stakeholder collaboration, fast prototyping, and iteration. The ideal candidate will have experience working on software for lab operations or lab automation.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Gather and document requirements, work instructions, and user testing plans for new features and systems</li> <li>Implement and test new features and systems</li> <li>Conduct and document user acceptance testing</li> <li>Contribute to the team through code reviews and design discussions</li> <li>Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement</li> <li>Provide production support to end users</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You'll Ne</strong><strong>ed:</strong></p> <ul> <li>No specific degree prerequisite. If you can do the work well and humbly, we want to talk with you.</li> <li>6+ years of back-end or full-stack development experience</li> <li>2+ years of healthcare/biotech experience or equivalent experience in complex manufacturing or logistics</li> <li>Proven track record of building and deploying production-grade software</li> <li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>Experience in lab operations or automation</li> <li>Comfortable in Python/Django</li> <li>Comfortable with reading and referencing specifications and documentation for third-party systems</li> <li>Preferable experience with formal quality systems</li> </ul> <p><strong>Location, Compensation, and Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Location: </strong>Onsite at our Menlo Park, CA office 5 days a week. </li> <li><strong>Compensation:</strong> Annual base salary range is $160,000 - $200,000, based on experience.
