This is a new and innovative approach to eliminate cancer cells. It works by harnessing the power of a patient’s own immune system. That power is created from the patients’ own T cells and is engineered to eliminate cancer cells expressing a specific antigen.</p><p></p><p>The Ghent E&amp;PS FM team manages the critical installations and facilities and utilities (steam, cooling installations, heating equipment, water systems, compressed air, high voltage, …) of/for the Ghent manufacturing hubs. The main goal of the E&amp;PS team in Ghent is to ensure that the building and building systems are available 24/7 in a safe and compliant manner for the occupants and their activities. To join, assist, support and lead the team, the EP&amp;S FM team in Ghent is recruiting a Senior Facility Manager for the 2 production sites in Ghent and the future expansions. The position will be based in Ghent (Belgium), reporting into the FM director Make IM, Global AT &amp; Synthetics Belgium. Close collaboration with several related departments and partners is indispensable for the functioning of the Ghent E&amp;PS FM team. Amongst many others there are the E&amp;PS FM team based in Beerse, the MAM team in Ghent and the Legend Biotech maintenance team.</p><p></p><p><b>Key responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Mentor / lead a team of managers, engineers, planners, specialists, technicians and contractors who are all together as a team responsible for ensuring the 24/7 continuous operational readiness of our sites.</p></li><li><p>Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and our partners.</p></li><li><p>Final responsible for the daily exploitation of facilities, utilities and energy systems for the 2 buildings in Ghent.</p></li><li><p>Together with the manager of the team, function as the points of contact towards building users, quality, EHS², compliance and the entire E&amp;PS organization.</p></li><li><p>System owner during start-up/construction phase of new projects and installation and liaison between business units and contractors during planning / construction as needed.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with global Health Authority regulations / guidelines and internal operating procedures processes. Where required participate in Health Authority inspections and internal audits or ensure the team and the team’s activities are audit ready.</p></li><li><p>Participate in the implementation and maintenance of business continuity plans, emergency response plans and infrastructure management programs.</p></li><li><p>Be responsible for the long-range financial plan and annual site and maintenance budgets.</p></li><li><p>Solve all problems related to the installations and systems having an impact on safety, environment, sustainability, cost and reliability. Ensure compliance with local, federal and relevant international regulations (e.g. FDA, FAGG, …).</p></li><li><p>Establish a culture focused on professionalism and continuous improvement based on KPI’s, benchmarking and sharing best practices between sites and departments.</p></li><li><p>You are responsible for the employees who work within the team. You must provide an inclusive work environment where each person must be considered as an individual.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Master’s degree in engineering, architecture, life sciences etc. or equivalent experience required.</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 5&#43; years facilities management experience in facilities, utilities and maintenance.</p></li><li><p>Experienced in GxP and quality management.</p></li><li><p>Strong personal leadership, proven ability to work both within teams and across teams, and excellent relationship-building skills are required.</p></li><li><p>Open minded and capable to implement best practices and technological renewal.</p></li><li><p>You know how to deal with tight timelines &amp; you are stress resistant.</p></li><li><p>You possess an outspoken ‘can do’ mentality.</p></li><li><p>You are highly communicative, both written and spoken and a strong connector.</p></li><li><p>Besides having a perfect command of Dutch, you speak and write English fluently.
