<p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2><b>JOB DESCRIPTION:</b></h2><div><p><b><u><span>MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE</span></u><span>  </span></b></p></div><div><p><span><span> </span></span></p></div><ul><li>Provide nutrition science expertise in product innovation, messaging development, and scientific substantiation of Abbott brand products, particularly those designed for diabetes management.</li><li>Partner with clinical scientists to conceptualize and design clinical studies to evaluate safety and efficacy of new ingredients and nutritional products, supporting product claims and regulatory submissions.</li><li>Educate both internal and external audiences on the science behind the products</li></ul><div><p><span> </span></p></div><div><p><b><u><span>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES</span></u><span>  </span></b></p></div><div><p><span> </span></p></div><ul><li>Provide nutrition science expertise for product innovation, including innovation pipeline, new product development and reformulations.</li><li>Responsible for the scientific substantiation of messaging and claims for Adult Nutrition (AN) products, ensuring accuracy, credibility, and global consistency.</li><li>Collaborate effectively within and between cross-functional teams, including Food Science,</li><li>Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing to provide scientific and technical direction throughout product cycle</li><li>Stay current with the latest scientific literature and apply relevant findings to support product development, innovation as well as product messaging</li><li>Partner with clinical scientists to conceive, design and plan advanced clinical research in collaboration with cross-function teams to evaluate safety and efficacy of new ingredients or AN products.
