<p><span><span>We are looking for experienced and motivated <b>Material Science</b> scientist to join the Drug Product Development team at Alvotech, Reykjavik. In this position, you will be a part of a team working on the development of liquid/lyophilized biologics (biosimilar) drug products.</span></span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span><span><b>Scope and responsibility:</b></span></span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Perform activities related to the selection, implementation, optimization and characterization of drug product primary packaging components of the finished dosage form and materials that are used during drug administration. This includes, but is not limited to </span></span> t<span>ransport validation studies (i.e., plunger movement) and </span> f<span>ormulation compatibility studies.</span></p></li><li><p><span><span>In-use stability studies. </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Manufacturing process development studies for the finished dosage form. </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Container closure system integrity/stability studies. </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Work closely with the Formulation Development team to investigate and ensure compatibility of the container closure system with the drug product formulations. </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Work closely with other packaging/device development and drug product manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of materials into medical devices/combination products and the drug product manufacturing processes, respectively. </span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><span><b>Job requirements</b></span></span></p><p><span><span>We are looking for flexible, open-minded and motivated scientists that are excited about biopharmaceutical development, can challenge their work by innovative and creative solutions, and share our values of team spirit and team efforts. The specific requirements are detailed below. </span></span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>MSc/PhD in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, pharmaceutical science, pharmacy or other related disciplines. </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>3&#43; years’ experience in biopharmaceutical drug product development, including experience with the development of finished dosage forms/container closure systems/primary packaging or other related medical devices. </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Hands-on experience in working with proteins in a biochemical (wet) laboratory.  </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Proactive team player with strong communication, organization and presentation skills. </span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><span><b>About the Department</b></span></span></p><p><span><span>The Drug Product Development team consists of dedicated scientists, whose goals and commitments are to develop drug product formulations, manufacturing processes and dosage form materials for biosimilar drugs.
