This community needs people like you: dedicated, agile and above all audacious so we can truly drive science forward.</p><p>Senior Scientist – Antibody Discovery will deliver antibody discovery projects, validate new technologies, and review experimental data to ensure scientific excellence. This is a fixed-term maternity cover role for 12 months, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to key projects during this period.</p><p>This position reports to the Director of Antibody Discovery Technologies, located in Cambridge and will be on-site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.</p><h1>In this role, you will have the opportunity to:</h1><ul><li>Troubleshoot complex experimental challenges across flow cytometry/sorting, automated workflows, tissue culture, and molecular biology workflows.</li><li>Contribute to antibody discovery campaigns as needed, though not as a subject matter expert.</li><li>Validate and implement new technologies to enhance antibody discovery workflows.</li><li>Analyze and review experimental data, providing clear insights and recommendations.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to accelerate technology development.</li></ul><h1>The essential requirements of the job include:</h1><ul><li>A Ph.D., or equivalent in a life sciences discipline.</li><li>Antibody discovery expertise with hands-on expertise in discovery technologies, such as flow sorting, SPR/BLI, tissue culture, and molecular biology techniques.</li><li>The ability to identify, develop and roll out new antibody discovery technologies and techniques to across global R&amp;D teams</li><li>An ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets, problem solve to identify root cause and develop and execute experiments to enable solutions.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for both scientific and non-scientific audiences.</li></ul><h1>It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:</h1><ul><li>Working with hard-to-target proteins (e.g., GPCRs, ion channels).</li><li>Familiarity with high-throughput screening and automation.</li></ul><p></p><p>#LI-Onsite</p><p><span>Join our winning team today.
