This position forms part of LBS initiative as a leading-edge cancer diagnostics partner with a vision to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives. This position is part of the Research and Development (R&D) team located in Newcastle and will be an on-site, position. You will be a part of the Advanced Staining Reagents (ASR) R&D team and report to the R&D Management team. In this role you are a resource for all New Product Development projects and Compliance work performed in the R&D team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:<ul><li>Lead projects and gain insight from other department SMEs.</li><li>Become part of a team responsible for the delivery of cutting edge new diagnostic products.</li><li>Become an expert on designing, performing and interpreting experiments on the automated staining instrumentation.</li><li>Be part of a wider R&D organisation, gaining exposure to a variety of different project types.</li><li>Learn and implement the process of developing products within a regulatory environment.</li></ul> The essential requirements of the job include:<ul><li>Significant prior lab experience within a regulated environment and understanding of IHC and molecular biology techniques</li><li>Possess a Degree in a scientific subject</li><li>Have knowledge of H&S and how this applies to Laboratory environments</li><li>Have experience of project delivery in a high-pressure environment</li></ul> It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:<ul><li>Experience of IVD development including understanding of Design Control</li><li>Experience of working within a regulated environment</li><li>A higher degree</li></ul>Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
