The Opportunity That Awaits You:
The Senior Project Manager in the Research and Development Department is the glue between the cross functional teams that drives projects from start to finish. This role is an integral part of the PROCEPT R&D team and the face of the program for the business. The project manager is responsible for developing, managing, and ensuring that the program schedule and CFT deliverables are hit with the quality that PROCEPT stands for. They are involved in all aspects of the project from initial planning to technical reviews to status updates and schedule mitigation planning. The Project Manager role oversees all initiatives going on for the program and is responsible for driving cross-functional alignment on deliverables, ensuring compliance activities are performed, managing risks, defining project scopes, objectives and timelines and aligning resource allocation to meet needs.
This is not a “schedule jockey”– the Project Manager is expected to use their own technical expertise and judgement to help set plans, flag / resolve misalignment, identify trade-offs when necessary and ensure a quality deliverable is made on time.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record working as part of / with cross functional teams including development, operations, regulatory, quality, and commercial. They have a “hands on” personality to learn, get involved, and support the program where needed. Previous experience as an engineer with cross-functional experience will enable this project manager to be successful with planning and working with the teams. Key skills include strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail and willingness to dive in, ability to extrapolate, ability to juggle many tasks at any point in time without dropping any one of them. The successful candidate will be one who provides great value to the teams while ensuring their successful alignment with the broader company.
