Description

  • Design and develop image processing algorithms for life science and applied imaging domains (e.g., microscopy, bio‑imaging, laboratory or medical imaging).
  • Translate algorithm concepts into high‑quality, production‑ready implementations (primarily C/C++, or equivalent).
  • Optimize algorithm performance across multiple hardware platforms, including: x86 (desktop / workstation), ARM (embedded systems / SoC)
  • Analyze and improve performance with respect to: Memory access and cache behavior, Multi‑threading and parallel computing, Platform‑specific performance trade‑offs
  • Collaborate closely with system, hardware, and application teams to ensure end‑to‑end performance and robustness.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  • There will be opportunities for the incumbent to be attached with Leica overseas R&D center in Germany for joint software development initiatives.
  • Design and develop platform SDK components.
