Job Overview:

The Senior Metrics Analyst works directly with the Intelligence and Insights team and supports the work to understand, interpret, and provide guidance on metrics and analytics.  This role will perform the majority of the data loading, manipulation, reporting and dashboarding work within the Intelligence and Insights team enable the team to produce the metrics reports used to enable the business to make decisions based upon key performance indicators.

Respond to ad hoc requests by understanding the requirements and ensuring the timelines are adhered.

The resource should review, analyze, and report the work of peer group to ensure the team signs-off a quality product to the stakeholders. Strong attention to detail is a prerequisite.

This role needs experience in designing and evaluating metrics and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and address difficult situations.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Supports process improvement and analytics development initiatives.
  • Provides insight into analytic measures and supports development of new and creative solutions to drive organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support process improvement and socialization of analytics and support of compliance on key data streams.
  • Supports maintenance and improvement of processes and data governance framework for current and emerging data sources to track and evaluate performance.
  • Supports internal discussions with IT partners.
  • Trouble shoots and manages ad hoc client inquiries (internal and external) including guidance and analytics around historical performance/metrics to support requests across the organization (including Bid Request, Functional and Project leadership).
  • May support high-level software development support to increase automation of reporting capabilities and analytical processes.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • University/college degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • In lieu of the above requirement, candidates with an associate degree and five or more years of relevant clinical research experience in pharmaceutical, CRO industries or data analytics field will be considered.

Experience (Minimum Required):

  • Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience, ideally within a Clinical Research environment
  • Strong experience of working with PowerBI, Power Apps, MS Excel, Macros, SharePoint, Other MS Office tools.
  • Basic programming skills a plus, but not required. SQL a plus. Ability to develop and learn.
  • Ability to gather and manage data, analyze and providing insight.
  • Ability to learn building databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • The ability to plan, adapt to changing situations. A proactive approach to management of day-to-day activities and actions. High level initiative and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not necessary.
