Senior Medical Manager - Vaccines

This opportunity is part of Medical Affairs in Colombia and will contribute to strengthening the medical strategy for the vaccines portfolio across cardiovascular and metabolic disease areas.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Medical Manager, Vaccines - CVMD to lead the medical strategy for the vaccines portfolio in Colombia. This role requires strong pharmaceutical-industry experience and therapeutic expertise in endocrinology, cardiology, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease, combined with scientific credibility and strong stakeholder influence.

The role will shape medical priorities, translate scientific evidence and external insights into strategic initiatives, and build trusted partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem. Previous vaccines experience is valued but not required. The ability to rapidly develop expertise in vaccines and preventive healthcare is essential.

·    Lead and shape the medical strategy and priorities for the vaccines portfolio in Colombia, aligned with scientific, patient, and healthcare-system needs.

·    Provide strategic medical leadership by translating emerging science, external insights, and unmet needs into clear priorities and actionable medical strategies.

·    Build and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, scientific societies, academic institutions, and other relevant external stakeholders.

·    Lead evidence-generation initiatives, including clinical research, real-world evidence, and other programs that support scientific and strategic priorities.

·    Drive scientific engagement through advisory boards, scientific education, congress activities, and collaboration with senior and cross-functional stakeholders.

·    Ensure medical governance and scientific integrity across all activities, in accordance with applicable ethical, regulatory, and compliance standards.

Why You?

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

Basic Qualifications

·    Professional degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or another relevant healthcare or scientific discipline.

·    Minimum three years of relevant pharmaceutical-industry experience, preferably within a medical, scientific, clinical, or related function.

·    Demonstrated therapeutic expertise in endocrinology, cardiology, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease, together with an understanding of the Colombian healthcare ecosystem.

·    Experience contributing to or leading medical strategies, scientific plans, evidence-generation initiatives, or strategic medical programs.

·    Proven ability to establish and maintain credible scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, external experts, and senior stakeholders.

·    Strong strategic, communication, and influencing skills, with Spanish fluency and functional English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

·    Advanced postgraduate qualification in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related scientific discipline.

·    Experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.

·    Experience in vaccines, preventive healthcare, or chronic disease management.

·    Experience with evidence generation, clinical research, observational studies, or real-world evidence.

·    Experience leading advisory boards, scientific engagement, congress strategy, or scientific education initiatives.

·    Demonstrated ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes within a matrix organization.

Working model and location

This role is based in Colombia. The position is hybrid with a field component. You will meet external experts and clinical sites, work remotely, and attend the office for team collaboration as needed.
