We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Automation Engineer to lead automation, cloud, and infrastructure operations across hybrid enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power Automate, PowerShell, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Windows Server, and Active Directory, with a focus on automating service delivery, server provisioning, and operational processes. Experience with enterprise storage and backup platforms such as NetApp, Data Domain, and Veeam is desirable. This role will drive infrastructure modernization, improve operational efficiency, and support secure, scalable, and reliable IT services.

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Service Delivery

• Design, develop, and maintain Power Automate workflows to streamline IT operational processes.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation, provisioning, reporting, remediation, and administration activities.
• Automate server provisioning, deployment, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
• Integrate infrastructure automation with Service Desk and request fulfillment platforms.
• Reduce manual effort through process automation and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Infrastructure & Virtualization

• Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize VMware vSphere environments including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, templates, and virtual machine lifecycle management.
• Create and maintain standardized templates for efficient server provisioning.
• Administer enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Perform infrastructure performance monitoring, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
• Support enterprise virtualization and modernization initiatives.

Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure services.
• Provision and manage Azure virtual machines, networking, storage, and governance controls.
• Administer Azure subscriptions, RBAC, and resource management.
• Support Azure Arc-enabled server management and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Participate in cloud migration and modernization projects.

 

 

 

Identity & Platform Administration

• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and core infrastructure services.
• Manage identity and access controls in alignment with security standards.
• Support infrastructure security and compliance initiatives.
• Maintain operational documentation, standards, and procedures.

Storage, Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Support enterprise storage platforms including NetApp.
• Administer Data Domain and backup infrastructure environments.
• Support Veeam Backup & Recovery solutions.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and business continuity initiatives.
• Assist with storage capacity planning and backup optimization activities.

Security & Compliance

• Support Microsoft Defender technologies including Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Cloud.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening activities.
• Investigate infrastructure-related security alerts and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and best practices.

Operational Excellence

• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Support continuous improvement and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering or systems administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Strong Microsoft Azure administration experience.
• Strong Windows Server administration experience.
• Advanced Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy administration skills.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting experience.
• Hands-on Power Automate development experience.
• Experience with SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager.
• Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

• Experience with Veeam Backup & Recovery.
• Experience with Azure Arc and hybrid cloud management.

Role Fit

This role is best suited for a senior infrastructure engineer with strong expertise in automation, cloud, virtualization, and Windows platform administration, capable of driving infrastructure modernization initiatives while leveraging automation to improve operational efficiency and service delivery. Experience with enterprise storage and backup technologies is desirable but considered secondary to core automation and cloud competencies.
