Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech </p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Plans and executes moderately complex change control projects, including conceptual evaluation, automated system design, controls integration, and validation activities.</p></li><li><p>Leads complex change control initiatives, ensuring robust technical assessment, design development, documentation, and validation execution.</p></li><li><p>Champions the qualification of new equipment and machine control systems, including Allen‑Bradley PLC‑based architectures, motion control platforms, and robotics systems; supports vendor FAT/SAT to ensure compliance with engineering standards.</p></li><li><p>Implements project management best practices, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.</p></li><li><p>Participates in technical design reviews, providing expertise on machine requirements, automation strategies, robotics functionality, and manufacturing/product specifications.</p></li><li><p>Conducts conceptual and feasibility analyses for capital projects to support long‑term automation and controls strategy.</p></li><li><p>Delivers training and technical support to Operations Engineers and Technicians in the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated systems, robotics, and control platforms.</p></li><li><p>Investigates, identifies, and resolves Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) associated with Quality, Manufacturing, and Technical issues, including NCRs, audit findings, and process deviations.</p></li><li><p>Collaborates across safety, quality, and operations teams to achieve performance, compliance, and operational objectives.</p></li><li><p>Provides coaching and technical mentorship to interns, co‑ops, and junior engineers.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrates strong technical depth, influencing decisions within the functional team and promoting engineering excellence.</p></li><li><p>Acts as a change agent, fostering a culture of learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement to enhance business performance.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p><b>Education</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Experience and Skills</b></p><p><b>Required</b></p><ul><li><p>4–6 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, automation, or related fields.</p></li><li><p>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work effectively in an empowered, team‑based environment.</p></li><li><p>Hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk, etc.), Wonderware HMI</p></li><li><p>Robotics engineering experience, including programming, integration, or troubleshooting of industrial robots.</p></li><li><p>Motion control expertise, including servo systems, drives, and coordinated motion platforms.</p></li></ul><p><b>Preferred</b></p><ul><li><p>Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering</p></li><li><p>ELAU/Schneider Electric PLC</p></li><li><p>Experience in manufacturing operations, production supervision, or front-line leadership.</p></li><li><p>Experience collaborating with vendors to select, source, quote, and procure off‑the‑shelf or custom mechanical and control components.</p></li><li><p>Experience in ISO‑regulated or FDA‑regulated environments.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Other:</span></b></p><p>Johnson &amp; Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
