The Opportunity:
Revolution Medicines is seeking a highly motivated Senior Director, Strategic Planning and Operations to design and lead the France operating model ahead of AMM. Reporting to the VP/General Manager France, this role drives cross‑functional alignment, owns governance and execution discipline, builds analytics capabilities, strengthens performance management, and ensures operational excellence across all functions in a regulated biotechnology environment. By combining Business Excellence, Sales Force Effectiveness, Transformation, Analytics, and Governance, the Senior Director Business Excellence aligns all functions around a unified strategy, ensures disciplined execution of the operating model, and serves as the primary interface with European leadership to coordinate priorities, performance, and organizational readiness.
Operating Model, Governance & Effectiveness
Leads the design of governance, processes, roles, and decision‑making routines to ensure full organizational readiness.
Drives execution standards, simplification, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional discipline.
Orchestrates alignment across Commercial, Finance, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, Supply, HR and Operations.
Ensures alignment, contribution, and evolution of the Business Excellence community within Europe, strengthening cross‑market consistency and scalability.
Leads the capture and dissemination of best practices to harmonize execution and accelerate learning.
Leads transversal, affiliate-wide projects within the governance framework—such as the budget process, country reviews, and other company priorities—coordinating stakeholders, milestones, decisions, and follow-through. Shapes capability-building and training plans to support adoption of new processes and operating-model maturity, and leads sales force sizing to ensure field capacity, deployment, and resource allocation remain aligned with strategic priorities and performance needs.
Strategic Business Partner & Management
Acts as strategic advisor to the General Manager and Leadership Team, providing insights, decision support, and forward‑looking recommendations.
Translates data, performance signals, and operational insights into strategic choices.
Ensures company alignment between strategy, execution, and organizational priorities.
Brings an independent, analytical, cross‑functional perspective to LT discussions and GM decisions.
People Leadership & Capability Building
Leads, coaches and develops direct reports, fostering an inclusive, high-performing and collaborative team environment.
Builds capabilities, supports succession and development planning, and enables teams to adopt new processes, tools and ways of working.
Governance, Risk & Operational Effectiveness
Establishes governance routines, decision-making processes and execution standards that support consistent, effective delivery across the affiliate.
Fosters adherence to applicable SOPs and promotional and non-promotional requirements, working closely with the Compliance Officer to embed them into operational workflows.
Identifies operational risks, supports appropriate mitigation and escalates matters to the relevant owners, in close partnership with the Compliance Officer and other functions.
Coordinates operational readiness for internal and external audits in partnership with Finance, Legal, Quality and the Compliance Officer.
Orchestrates the full planning cycle (budget, forecasting, strategic planning, business reviews, risk management) to ensure alignment, discipline, and predictable performance.
Enterprise Analytics & Performance
Builds KPIs, dashboards, and performance tools for visibility and decision‑making.
Develops AI‑enhanced data repositories, predictive models, and automated analytics pipelines.
Delivers demand, patient, and scenario forecasts to support planning and launch readiness.
Establishes monitoring frameworks that support efficiency, operational effectiveness and predictable performance.
Automates manual processes, strengthens data reliability, and improves operational efficiency.
Introduces innovative tools and optimizes workflows.
Cross-Functional Engagement & Omnichannel Excellence
Leads stakeholder segmentation, CRM and engagement planning, and field enablement in close collaboration with Commercial, Medical and other relevant functions.
Designs performance frameworks, including sales KPIs, quota setting and incentive schemes where applicable, while maintaining a clear distinction between promotional and non-promotional activities.
Oversees wholesaler operations, service levels and coordination with Supply, Commercial and other relevant functions, respecting applicable governance and compliance requirements.
Leads the identification and delivery of cross-functional, value-added initiatives with external stakeholders, where relevant to affiliate priorities and in line with applicable governance.
Omnichannel Strategy & Activation
Provides strategic oversight to the Omnichannel function, ensuring that the Omnichannel Manager translates the strategies and priorities defined by Marketing and Medical into an integrated activation roadmap and executable plans, in coordination with Commercial, Medical and other relevant functions.
Leads and develops the Omnichannel team members, who will orchestrate audience-focused engagement across relevant channels, content and touchpoints, ensuring each activity respects its promotional or non-promotional context and applicable requirements.
Ensures the Omnichannel approach is insight- and data-driven, with clear performance measures and continuous optimization; connects Commercial, Medical and other functions while preserving clear accountabilities and adherence to applicable requirements.
Congress & Events Management
Plans and executes scientific congresses, medical events, and HCP engagements.
Delivers congresses and events in adherence with promotional and non-promotional requirements, in accordance with compliance requirements and processes.
Manages logistics, vendor coordination, budgeting, and on‑site execution.
Supports cross‑functional coordination.
Coordinates internal company events, ensuring alignment with affiliate priorities, effective stakeholder engagement and efficient delivery.
Captures insights and best practices to strengthen future congress strategy.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
Master’s degree in Business, Finance or Management.
12+ years with cross‑functional leadership exposure and regional/global interfaces.
Experiences in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences or other regulated industries preferred.
Proven track record designing governance, processes, and cross‑functional ways of working.
Experience leading enterprise‑level change, simplification, and continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of analytics, forecasting, AI, automation, and digital workflows.
Ability to advise GM/LT, drive prioritization, and support strategic decision.
Strong capability to drive adoption of new processes, tools, behaviors, and operating model maturity.
Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
