About the opportunity
At QIAGEN, you will lead the global Medical Affairs strategy for our Oncology Precision Diagnostics portfolio, driving scientific excellence and enabling the adoption of precision medicine solutions that improve patient outcomes. As a senior leader, you will shape medical strategy at the intersection of oncology diagnostics, biomarker-driven therapies, and pharmaceutical partnerships.
This role requires solid medical or scientific background with exceptional expertise in oncology, including a deep understanding of the evolving precision medicine landscape, companion diagnostics, biomarker strategies, and clinical decision-making in cancer care. You will serve as a key medical leader engaging with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies throughout the drug development lifecycle, from clinical development through commercialization. Working across a highly matrixed global organization, you will influence strategic direction, foster innovation, and build strong external relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare institutions, academic partners, and industry stakeholders. Your leadership will contribute to expanding QIAGEN's impact in precision oncology and supporting future growth opportunities across global markets
Your tasks include
Developing and executing on the global Medical Affairs strategy for the Oncology Precision Diagnostics portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and future growth opportunities.
Leading scientific and medical expertise input with pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners to support companion diagnostic development, biomarker strategies, and precision medicine initiatives.
Providing Medical input in complex cross-functional programs across Medical Affairs, Marketing, R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Business Development teams worldwide.
Building and maintaining strategic relationships with oncology key opinion leaders, cancer centers, cooperative groups, pharmaceutical partners, and other external stakeholders.
Drive Investigators
Contributing to an innovation-focused environment that enables the advancement of medical, scientific, and operational initiatives of in the field of laboratory technologies, biomarkers testing and companion diagnostics with an enterprise and community-wide impact.
Representing QIAGEN as a senior medical and scientific leader at industry conferences, advisory boards, scientific meetings, and customer engagements.
Facilitating the generation, dissemination, and strategic use of medical evidence and insights to support product adoption, clinical utility, and market access objectives.
Your profile
Advanced scientific or medical degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) with significant leadership experience in Medical Affairs within oncology, precision medicine, companion diagnostics, or related therapeutic areas.
Extensive and demonstrated expertise in oncology, including biomarker-driven therapies, precision diagnostics, treatment pathways, clinical practice, and emerging trends in cancer care.
Proven experience partnering with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, ideally supporting companion diagnostics, translational medicine, clinical development, or commercialization activities.
Strong track record of leading global Medical Affairs organizations and influencing strategy across complex international and cross-functional environments.
Demonstrated ability to develop trusted relationships with oncology key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, researchers, and industry stakeholders.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience representing organizations at executive and industry levels.
Strategic mindset with a history of driving innovation, and organizational impact in highly complex healthcare environments.
Strong ability to work in a matrix organization and across international cross functional teams
