You will ensure they meet protocols and include input from collaborators. This pivotal role is your chance to drive strategic platform delivery and make a significant impact in the world of Clinical Operations.</p><p></p><p><b><span>Accountabilities</span></b><span> </span></p><div><p><span><span>• Develop a comprehensive multi-year strategy for Clinical Operations Data Products and Platforms, ensuring delivery through capability sizing, skill profiling, supplier models, technology platforms, and cross-capability engagement.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span>•<span> </span></span><span>Leverage</span><span><span> </span>domain and technical<span> </span></span><span>expertise</span><span><span> </span>to supervise and guide teams in transforming unstructured, complex business challenges into data designs, solutions, and services aimed at<span> </span></span><span>optimizing</span><span><span> </span>trial design and accelerating clinical trial operations.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span>• Build and sustain effective relationships with senior stakeholders to maximize the<span> </span></span><span>utilization</span><span><span> </span>and value of information resources and services across data product roadmaps.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span>• Ensure all product deliverables within the domain clearly and objectively communicate results, including associated risks, uncertainties, and limitations.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span>• Advocate for continuous knowledge development and awareness of trends, best practices, and emerging advancements in the data landscape to shape functional practices and strategies.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span>• Collaborate with leaders in Clinical Operations across Therapy Areas, Enterprise AI, Clinical Development, and IT organizations to ensure platforms provide strategic data support aligned with Clinical Operations' ambitions.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span>• Lead multiple data product directors across global locations and partner with engineering teams to deliver features with clarity, adhering to agreed roadmaps and priority initiative planning.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span>• Drive best practices and cross-functional collaboration within the AstraZeneca Data and AI community to deliver measurable value.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span>• Manage and<span> </span></span><span>maintain</span><span><span> </span>accountability for partnerships with third-party vendors and outsourced partners.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span> </span></span><br /><span><span>• Actively<span> </span></span><span>participate</span><span><span> </span>in the functional Leadership Team to influence and shape functional strategy.</span></span><span> </span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Essential Skills/Experience</span></b><br /><span>- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or a related discipline (e.g., R&D, Finance, HR)<br />- Equivalent years of experience in a data product/platform role<br />- Extensive experience in data analysis or business roles aligned with data and information management<br />- Strong domain data understanding, including the structure, provenance, and meaning of source data (e.g., CTMS, eTMF)<br />- Familiarity with business processes related to data generation and consumption<br />- Proven leadership experience in delivering data product management, visioning, and strategy activities<br />- Expertise in leading data strategy within large, complex organizations<br />- Experience working in multi-skilled, multi-location data teams adhering to agile principles<br />- Awareness of end-to-end processes in building and supporting data solutions<br />- Skilled in applying risk-based methodologies to data and information management<br />- Proven experience in navigating complex global organizations</span></p><p></p><p><span><b>Desirable Skills/Experience</b><br />- Experience in life sciences and healthcare</span></p><p></p><p><span>When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to encourage life-changing medicines.
