The Integrated Biologics China Sales Head is a senior commercial leadership role within Lonza’s Integrated Biologics business. The position is accountable for defining and executing the China commercial strategy to capture the fast‑growing biologics market, while delivering sustainable revenue growth across Integrated Biologics and other defined businesses.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening Lonza’s position in China by leading the local commercial organization, developing strong relationships across the innovative drug ecosystem, and translating customer and market insights into future service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Build and execute the China commercial and territory strategy to achieve sales targets across Integrated Biologics and assigned businesses
Lead, coach, and develop the China Sales, Account Management, and Business Development teams
Drive proactive lead generation and opportunity development aligned with platform targets and capacity
Adapt commercial plans and strategies in response to changing market dynamics and business priorities
Establish and maintain strong relationships with China’s innovative drug ecosystem, including biotech companies, VCs, biohubs, and incubators
Ensure disciplined and consistent sales and account‑planning processes to support customer expansion and excellent customer experience
Provide data‑driven customer and market insights to shape Lonza’s current and future service offerings
Partner closely with the China Value Creation team to implement China strategy workstreams
Ensure contracts are closed in line with agreed profitability, risk, and compliance metrics
Key Requirements
Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred
Minimum 10+ years of experience in senior sales, marketing, or commercial leadership roles
Strong experience in biologics, CDMO, or related life sciences environments
Proven track record of driving commercial growth and new business acquisition in China
Strong people‑leadership experience within complex, matrix organizations
Fluent in Chinese and English
Data‑driven mindset with strong business acumen and customer focus
Comfortable navigating complexity, ambiguity, and fast‑growing markets
