Senior Counsel

Our solutions improve the techniques and outcomes of surgery so patients can resume their lives as quickly as possible. </p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><u>Position Summary:</u> </p><p>Globus Medical is a growing and profitable medical device company that is looking for a bright and motivated individual to join its legal team as Senior Counsel. The Senior Counsel will lead commercial legal support and guidance for agreements in the company’s Musculoskeletal Solutions product category (including spine, orthopedic trauma, joint reconstruction, and regenerative biologics). They will work directly with internal clients to identify legal risks and issues raised in contractual relationships with third parties. The Senior Counsel will report to the Vice President, Legal Affairs.</p><p></p><p><u>Essential Functions</u>: </p><ul><li><p>Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements to meet business and legal requirements, including highly complex sales agreements and requestions for proposals for sophisticated leading healthcare organizations, including group purchasing organizations (GPOs) and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).</p></li><li><p>Supervise team of non-lawyer contract administration staff who assist in the review, management and administration of commercial agreements.</p></li><li><p>Develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the company’s business, its people, products, technology, markets, facilities, customers and competitors in order to assist the company in meeting overall business objectives.</p></li><li><p>Working with business counterparts, both domestically and internationally, to provide advice on commercial legal risks and issues.</p></li><li><p>Updating contractual policies, templates, and procedures as needed to ensure alignment with current laws and business practices.</p></li><li><p>Assist members of the legal department with other legal needs of the company as necessary and contribute to the overall legal function.</p></li><li><p>Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.</p></li><li><p>Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role </p></li><li><p>Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties </p></li></ul><p></p><p><i>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.</i> </p><p></p><p><u>Qualifications</u>: </p><ul><li><p>Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and member in good standing of at least one state bar.
