How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for clinical education, providing expertise and clinical insights on the device, procedure, and protocol. The Field Clinical Specialist will be a resource for support, strategy execution and territory growth within the transcatheter heart valve portfolio. Through one-on-one development with individual hospital accounts, you will be tasked with expanding the portfolio footprint, adding with value in partnering focused accounts through implementation and educational support of quality improvement initiatives, clinical outcomes, and engaging with all levels of hospital stakeholders with a primary focus on the implant team and surrounding management.

In this role you will partner with the Territory Managers and use your skills in Cath Lab/cardiac devices to support cases and promote Edward's products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert level education on all aspects of Transcatheter therapy within the portfolio device handling, integration and troubleshooting techniques related to equipment, software, tools and products required for clinical use including but not limited to intraoperative case coverage and coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs in the OR
• Develop and continuously improve training curriculum, training materials and training tools, based on clinical trial experience.
• Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on technical matters related to investigational products and procedures through conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs.
• Throughout commercial procedures, provide physicians and medical staff with required follow-up support to ensure continuity of education and technical support related to all aspects of clinical research
• Provide training and guidance to new Field Clinical Specialists
• Plan and implement growth strategies within focused accounts
• Responsible for upselling in key strategic accounts working in conjunction with Business Managers
• Validate software and hardware updates in the field
• Learns the product(s), physiology, anatomy, applications and “language” of the market and Edwards Lifesciences
• Fully monitor clinical support activities, changes in the market and assigned accounts
• Other duties as assigned by Leadership

What you will need (Required): 

• Bachelor's Degree in related field,

• 5+ years of previous related medical device and/or clinical experience

• Extensive experience of the cath lab environment or as a scrub nurse for procedures or cardiac sonographer.

What else we look for (Preferred):  

• Training experience in clinical / technical environment preferred (cath lab)
• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
