Senior Buyer-Indirect (TEMP)

<p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a motivated, collaborative and results-oriented Sr Buyer to support our US global Procurement team.  This role will be responsible for purchasing NPI preproduction indirect and direct production instruments and consumable raw materials and managing key supplier relationship for the assigned categories. <strong>This will be a temporary contract up to 6 months.</strong>  </p> <p><strong>What you will be doing:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide procurement support to the 10x R&D team for the purchasing and tracking of components for the development and launching of new instruments and consumables</li> <li>Manage communication with key preproduction and production raw material suppliers and act as the primary point of contact for supplier communication and issue resolutions for the assigned suppliers</li> <li>Ensure timely issuing of purchase orders to support the manufacturing need</li> <li>Maintain and set up purchasing and sourcing related data fields for the assigned materials and suppliers in the ERP system</li> <li>Monitor purchase order statuses and update / escalate if needed</li> <li>Invoice reconciliation: Assist the accounting department in reconciling discrepancies on invoices.</li> <li>Lead or support RFQ/RFP projects</li> <li>Build relationship with suppliers and internal stakeholders</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree</li> <li>6+ years of procurement, sourcing, or relevant supply chain or operations experience</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing</li> <li>Organized, detail-oriented and a service mentality to internal customers</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment under minimal supervision</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Economics</li> <li>Direct experience with procurement or supply chain in an established life science, medical device or bio technology related organization</li> <li>Experience working within cross functional project teams with diverse stakeholders</li> <li>Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems and planning tools such as Oracle, SAP, QAD or other commonly used manufacturing software. 10x presently uses Oracle for P2P management.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>#LI-MH1 #LI-ON-SITE </p> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>About 10x Genomics</strong></p> <p>At 10x Genomics, accelerating our understanding of biology is more than a mission for us.
