<p style="text-align:left">Job Description</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><span style="color:#172b4d">We’re looking for a Senior Atlassian Tooling Coach to will join our team and help us lead and shape our Atlassian Cloud migration and long term platform evolution. </span></p><p></p><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#172b4d">This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on coaching, standardization, and Cloud-native ways of working, not just tool administration. You’ll work across teams and business lines to ensure Atlassian Cloud becomes a true enabler of visibility, work flow, and value delivery.</span></p><p></p><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#172b4d"><b>What you’ll do:</b></span></p><ul><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Lead and coach teams through the Data Center to Atlassian Cloud migration and ongoing platform evolution</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Partner with Agile Practitioners and stakeholders across different business lines to review, define, and evolve ways of working and configuration standards</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Coach individuals, product teams, and business users on Jira, Confluence, and related Atlassian Cloud tools</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Deliver hands-on training, workshops, and coaching sessions</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Define and promote organization-wide standards, best practices, and reusable configurations</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Create and maintain clear how-to guides, usage guidelines, and training materials</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Drive post-migration optimization through simplification, alignment, and continuous improvement</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Facilitate workshops to balance team needs with enterprise standards</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Provide advanced support in complex cases together with support teams</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Influence and guide teams and stakeholders without formal authority, helping them adopt product-oriented ways of working</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p style="color:!important"><span style="color:#172b4d"><b>What we’re looking for:</b></span></p><ul><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Senior, hands-on experience coaching teams in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar)</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Strong experience as a Jira and Confluence Power user or Administrator (Atlassian Cloud experience preferred)</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Proven ability to design and evolve Atlassian Cloud setups at scale</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Experience with complex delivery setups (multiple teams, products, regions)</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Experience with apps such as Xray, ScriptRunner, and other mainstream Atlassian Marketplace apps</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Comfortable working with senior stakeholders in structured environments</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Coaching mindset, patience, and a strong continuous improvement drive</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#172b4d">Willingness to learn new things</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Skills:</b></p>Data Engineering, Data Visualization, Design Applications, Software Configurations, Software Development, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Solution Architecture, System Designs, System Integration, Testing<p></p><p><b>Preferred Skills:</b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Current Employees apply <a href="https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$6687.htmld" target="_blank">HERE</a></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Current Contingent Workers apply <a href="https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$4020.htmld" target="_blank">HERE</a></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully </b><br />Merck &amp; Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp &amp; Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
