At Johnson & Johnson, we respect the diversity and dignity of our employees and recognize their merit.</p><p></p><p>The <b>Senior Analyst, HR Data Quality & Governance</b> is a critical member of the HR Data Capabilities team, responsible for <b>protecting the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of HR data across core HR landscape</b>.</p><p></p><p>This role focuses on <b>operational HR data quality </b>ensuring that employee lifecycle data (hire, move, pay, learn, exit) is fit‑for‑purpose, governed by clear standards, and proactively controlled to prevent downstream impacts to payroll, benefits, compliance, and workforce reporting & insights.</p><p></p><p>The role operates <b>within the Workday HR ecosystem</b>, but it is <b>not a Workday configuration or implementation role</b>. Instead, it partners closely with HR Operations, HR Technology, and Data teams to <b>identify data quality risks, define controls, and drive sustainable fixes at the process and data‑standard level</b>.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><p></p><p><b>HR Data Quality & Operational Controls</b></p><ul><li><p>Own and execute <b>HR data quality controls</b> across core HR domains (e.g., workforce data, compensation, organizational structures, learning, and employee lifecycle events).</p></li><li><p>Identify, assess <b>data quality issues rooted in HR processes</b>, upstream handoffs, or inconsistent standards—not just system defects.</p></li><li><p>Perform <b>root‑cause analysis</b> to distinguish process, policy, and system contributors to data quality issues and recommend durable fixes.</p></li><li><p>Define and maintain <b>data quality rules, validation checks, and monitoring routines</b> to prevent recurring issues in BAU operations.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Data Standards & Governance Execution</b></p><ul><li><p>Partner with HR domain owners to <b>define, document, and operationalize HR data standards</b>, business definitions, and usage expectations.</p></li><li><p>Facilitate working sessions with HR Operations, HR Technology, and IT partners to align on data <b>controls</b>.</p></li><li><p>Translate business needs into <b>clear, actionable data requirements</b> that support consistent HR data quality outcomes at scale.</p></li><li><p>Support governance forums by providing <b>evidence‑based insights</b> on data quality trends, risks, and remediation progress.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement</b></p><ul><li><p>Act as a trusted partner to HR Operations teams by <b>connecting data quality outcomes to real operational impact</b> (e.g., payroll accuracy, compliance readiness, employee experience).</p></li><li><p>Build practical documentation, templates, and playbooks that enable teams to <b>implement data quality consistently</b>, not theoretically.</p></li><li><p>Support change initiatives by ensuring <b>data readiness and quality</b> during process or system changes, releases, or new use cases.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Measurement & Continuous Improvement</b></p><ul><li><p>Define and supervise <b>data quality metrics</b> that reflect operational health, not just reporting completeness.</p></li><li><p>Supervise trends to identify <b>systemic risks and improvement opportunities</b> across HR processes and data flows.</p></li><li><p>Continuously refine controls, standards, and practices based on operational takeaways and business demand.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p><b>Education:</b></p><ul><li><p>A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. MBA Preferred.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Experience and Skills:</b></p><p><b>Required:</b></p><p><b>Experience & Domain Knowledge</b></p><ul><li><p><b>5+ years</b> of professional experience in <b>HR Data Quality, HR Data Governance, or HR Process Enablement</b> within a <b>large, complex, global organization</b>.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of <b>HR business processes and employee lifecycle events</b>, and how data quality issues manifest operationally.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience identifying and resolving <b>data issues driven by process gaps, inconsistent standards</b>.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Data & Analytical Capability</b></p><ul><li><p>Hands‑on experience defining and applying <b>data quality rules, validation logic, and controls</b>.</p></li><li><p>Ability to analyse data to <b>diagnose issues and communicate insights clearly</b> to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of SQL and common data analysis techniques to support investigation and validation (advanced analytics not required).</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred:</b></p><ul><li><p>Exposure to <b>Workday HR data</b> and downstream HR integrations (contextual understanding, not configuration ownership).</p></li><li><p>Experience supporting <b>data governance or data management frameworks</b> in an HR or people data context.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery approaches in a business or data environment.</p></li><li><p>Experience supporting global HR data across multiple regions or operating models.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Other:</b></p><ul><li><p>Proven track record to operate in <b>ambiguous environments</b>, bringing structure, prioritization, and transparency.</p></li><li><p>Strong consulting, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.</p></li><li><p>Experience working cross‑functionally with HR, Technology, and IT teams in an enterprise environment.</p></li><li><p>Travel as per Business need</p></li></ul><p></p><p>For more information on how we support the whole health of our employees throughout their wellness, career and life journey, please visit <a href="http://www.careers.jnj.com/" target="_blank"><span><u>www.careers.jnj.com</u></span></a>.</p><p></p><p>Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
