The Senior Agile Project Manager is responsible for translating approved product and portfolio priorities into predictable execution of strategically important software and digital initiatives across Digital Solutions R&D. This role leads complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through release and stabilization by integrating plans, dependencies, resources, risks, finances, and decisions. The position is accountable for creating delivery clarity, improving forecast confidence, and enabling measurable customer, business, quality, and compliance outcomes. Product and portfolio strategy remain with GPPM, while governance frameworks and portfolio standards remain with PMO; this role owns the integrated execution of approved priorities. 

This position reports to the Director of Digital solutions for R&D.  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Own end-to-end execution of complex, strategically important digital projects from initiation through release and stabilization, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, quality, compliance, timing, resource, and business-outcome expectations. 

• Translate approved products and portfolio priorities into integrated delivery plans, clear commitments, critical paths, cross-functional milestones, and decision-ready scenarios. 

• Develop and manage schedules, delivery forecasts, dependencies, readiness criteria, and release plans across teams, platforms, vendors, and regulated development activities. 

• Lead recovery planning and corrective action when delivery performance, release readiness, compliance expectations, or strategic outcomes are at risk. 

• Proactively identify risks, issues, capacity constraints, and resource conflicts, then recommend mitigation plans, trade-offs, impact assessments, and escalation options to accountable leaders. 

• Partner with GPPM to convert product strategy, roadmap priorities, customer needs, and approved business cases into executable delivery plans while maintaining clear accountability for product value and prioritization within GPPM. 

• Partner with PMO to apply enterprise governance, tollgate, reporting, and portfolio-transparency standards, including tollgate readiness, decision-quality materials, and closure of actions and conditions. 

• Influence senior stakeholders across Engineering, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and other functions to align scope, resources, sequencing, decisions, and release execution. 

• Provide concise, evidence-based visibility into progress, readiness, forecast confidence, financial performance, delivery risks, and the consequences of scope or resource changes. 

• Strengthen execution capability through Agile delivery leadership, DBS-based visual management, root-cause problem solving, lessons learned, and continuous improvement of delivery standard work. 

The essential requirements of the job include:  

• 8+ years of progressive project or program management experience within software, digital, medtech, healthcare IT, or regulated product development, including leadership of strategically important initiatives. 

• Demonstrated success delivering complex, multi-team, cross-functional projects with significant business, customer, quality, or compliance impact. 

• Experience influencing senior functional leaders, challenging assumptions, clarifying decision rights, and driving timely decisions without direct authority. 

• Experience leading Agile software development and release initiatives in a matrix organization, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, PI Planning, cross-team coordination, release planning, and increment management. 

• Experience applying structured governance, integrated project planning, milestone and schedule management, dependency management, financial oversight, resource planning, risk and issue management, and recovery management. 

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, cloud and digital solutions, DevOps, modern software delivery practices, and delivery forecasting. 

• Ability to work effectively with Product Management, Engineering leaders, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, senior management, and PMO organizations. 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:  

• Ability to travel occasionally based on project, stakeholder, or release needs. 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

• Experience in medtech, healthcare IT, regulated software, or medical device product development. 

• Experience with DBS-based visual management, root-cause problem solving, lessons learned, and continuous improvement of delivery standard work. 

• Experience supporting product or software launches with clear release readiness, stabilization, compliant delivery, and cross-functional governance. 

• Track record of improving milestone, forecast, and release predictability against approved commitments. 

• Ability to operate as a hands-on Senior Manager-level individual contributor who makes complex initiatives successful through structured execution, sound judgment, and influence.
