DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team as a Field Applications Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll provide expert technical support and innovative solutions to semiconductor and scientific research customers. You'll work at the intersection of technology and customer success, helping integrate our advanced microscopy, analytical, and digital solutions into customer workflows. This customer-facing role offers opportunities to develop and implement new techniques, provide comprehensive training, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and customer satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience, with hands-on experience with relevant analytical instruments (e.g., SEM, TEM, FIB, FTIR, mass spectrometry)
• Preferred Fields of Study: Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Deep understanding of semiconductor physics, device operation, and failure analysis techniques
• Programming skills in languages like Python, C#, or MATLAB
• Experience with automated workflows, data analysis, and system integration
• Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills
• Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations and training
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience working effectively in cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in English required
• Ability to travel up to 40%
• Valid passport and driver's license required
• Clean room experience preferred
