<p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Work Schedule</b></u></p>Standard (Mon-Fri)<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Environmental Conditions</b></u></p>Laboratory Setting<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b><u>Job Description</u></b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>We are seeking a <b>Scientist III with strong qPCR /dPCR expertise</b> who is interested in expanding their impact through data-driven analysis and bioinformatics. This role combines hands-on laboratory work with statistical and computational analysis to support assay development, troubleshooting, and product lifecycle activities.</p><p>The ideal candidate is a qPCR subject matter expert who is comfortable working in the lab, understands assay and master mix performance at a deep level, and has practical experience using Python and/or R to analyze data, support decision-making, and improve development workflows.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><b>qPCR / dPCR Assay & Reagent Development:</b><br />Design, optimize, and troubleshoot qPCR / dPCR assays and reagents, including hands-on wet-lab experimentation.</li><li><b>Data Analysis & Statistics:</b><br />Apply statistical methods to analyze qPCR data and support development, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making.</li><li><b>Python / R–Based Analysis:</b><br />Use Python and/or R (including Bioconductor) for data analysis, assay evaluation, and workflow support.</li><li><b>Bioinformatics & Sequence Analysis:</b><br />Perform primer/probe assessment, specificity checks, and sequence analysis to support assay performance.</li><li><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</b><br />Work with R&D, Manufacturing, QA, and Product teams across development, transfer, and sustaining activities.</li><li><b>Documentation & Communication:</b><br />Prepare experimental summaries, analyses, and technical recommendations in a regulated environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><p><b>Education</b></p><ul><li>Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, or a related field.</li></ul><p><b>Experience</b></p><ul><li>3+ years of hands-on experience in qPCR assay development and/or qPCR consumables (e.g. master mixes).</li><li>Strong wet-lab background in molecular biology techniques.</li><li>Practical experience using Python, R and/or JMP for data analysis in a scientific context.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Knowledge & Skills</b></p><ul><li>Solid understanding of qPCR assay performance metrics and troubleshooting strategies.</li><li>Experience performing stability, guard-banding, and robustness studies using statistical and analytical tools.</li><li>Familiarity with bioinformatics tools such as Primer3, BLAST, and Bioconductor.</li><li>Ability to translate experimental and analytical results into clear technical recommendations.</li><li>Good English communication skills (B2–C1).</li></ul><p><b>We Offer:</b></p><ul><li>An innovative environment within a rapidly growing international company.</li><li>A hard-working, supportive team and leadership committed to your professional development.</li><li>The opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization and work alongside experienced professionals.</li><li>A competitive salary range of €2891–€4335 gross, depending on experience and competencies.</li></ul><p></p><p>At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 120,000 extraordinary colleagues has a unique story to tell.</p><p>Apply today! <a href="http://jobs.thermofisher.com/" target="_blank">http://jobs.thermofisher.com</a></p><p>Thermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Compensation</b></u></p>The monthly salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €2 891,67–€4 335,42.<p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
