We are passionate, deliberate, and driven by our mission – to enable our customers to make the world healthier, safer, and cleaner.</p><p></p><p>Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.</p><p></p><p><b>Summarized Purpose</b></p><p>Our team is searching for a Scientist who will be responsible for the analysis of biological samples using Liquid-Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry to deliver PK and PD endpoints for clinical studies across the client portfolio. </p><p></p><p><b><u>Essential Functions:</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Perform analysis of drugs, metabolites, and biomarkers in biological samples to applicable standards using defined analytical methods.</p></li><li><p>Produce written analytical methods, reports, and report contributions.</p></li><li><p>Ensure that work is performed in compliance with the relevant regulations (primarily GCP), with procedures guided by applicable government regulations, and relevant SOPs.</p></li><li><p>Handle human biological samples and perform experimental work in accordance with HBSM, safety and data integrity guidelines. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Education and Experience:</u></b><b><u> </u></b></p><ul><li><p>BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline with 2 years of related experience</p></li><li><p>Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with LC/MS and/or quantitative bioanalytical methods.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of regulatory requirements for GLP and GCP analytical activities.</p></li><li><p>Excellent computer skills for communication and report writing</p></li></ul><p><b><i>In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.</i></b></p><p></p><p><b><u>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: </u></b></p><ul><li><p>Experience with analysis and reporting of preclinical or clinical PK data.</p></li><li><p>Experience handling of human biological samples.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience and ability to troubleshoot methodological issues</p></li><li><p>Experience utilizing laboratory information management systems for daily job functions.</p></li><li><p>Highly motivated team player with a proactive attitude, excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to interact effectively within a multi-disciplinary team</p></li></ul><p><br />Working Conditions and Environment:<br />• Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.<br />• Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel.<br />• Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.<br />• Rare exposure to skin and lung irritants, radiation, toxic materials and hazardous waste.<br />• Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.<br />• Exposure to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare occasions.<br /><br />Physical Requirements:<br />• Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.<br />• Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.<br />• Occasional mobility needed.<br />• Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.<br />• Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.<br />• Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.<br />• Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.<br />• Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.<br />• Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.<br />• Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress.
