By applying our expertise and pushing boundaries, together we strive to better serve our customers, strengthen our impact across our industry, and ultimately our positive impact on society.</p><p></p><p>Learn about the <a href="https://www.danaher.com/how-we-work/danaher-business-system" target="_blank">Danaher Business System</a> which makes everything possible.</p><p></p><p>The Scientist is responsible contributes to Abcam’s Antibody Product Portfolio expansion by designing validation strategies to characterize new antibodies in flow cytometry.</p><p></p><p>This position reports to the Team Leader Immunocytochemistry and Flow Cytometry and is part of the Validation Team  located in Cambridge and will be an on-site role<i>.  </i></p><p></p><p><b>In this role, you will have the opportunity to:</b></p><ul><li>Design single-colour and multi-colour flow cytometry experiments to determine specificity and sensitivity for new antibodies for an immunophenotyping portfolio.</li><li>Perform single-colour and multi-colour flow cytometry experiments in a high throughput environment utlising the latest flow cytometry protocols and equipment</li><li>Contribute to the technical troubleshooting of single-colour and multi-colour flow cytometry experiments.</li><li>Support with training and development of less experienced scientists within the team</li><li>Maintain accurate records of experimental data using BMRs, laboratory notebooks, and Oracle ERP, ensuring adherence to SOPs and ISO9001:2015 standards.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>The essential requirements of the job include:</b></p><ul><li>PhD  in Immunology, Immuno-Oncology or infectious Disease with a majority focus on flow cytometry techniques and &#43;2 years in academia or industry,  or equivalent experience in industry setting (typically &#43;7 years).</li><li>Extensive background and practical expertise in flow cytometry experiments with an additional focus on multicolor experiments in immunophenotyping (10&#43; labels) including (extra and intracellular markers)</li><li>Extensive experience with the isolation and culturing of human and mouse primary cells</li><li>Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, which showcase a strong knowledge of flow cytometry</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, with a passion for working in the lab in a global working environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:</b></p><ul><li>Experience in people management</li><li>Previously worked to ISO9001 quality standards. </li></ul><p></p><p>Abcam, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
