We are looking for a highly motivated scientist to join the documentation team for the software products Genedata Biologics® and Genedata Bioprocess® as Scientific Software Documentation Specialist. In close collaboration with developers and customer-oriented scientists you are responsible for developing and maintaining documentation materials, such as end user documentation, application notes, as well as training materials in different formats (documents and videos).
We are offering a full-time or part-time position (60–100%) reporting to the Head of Product Management and based in the Biologics business unit located in Basel, Switzerland. This role is an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Create and maintain electronic end-user documentation in written and video formats to support the use, configuration and administration of the enterprise software products Genedata Biologics and Genedata Bioprocess
- Create scientific application notes, educational and training materials and present internal seminars and webinars world-wide
- Establish a close collaboration with the software development, product management and customer-oriented scientist teams to strengthen produced documentation materials.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- MSc or PhD degree in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, immunology, bioprocess engineering or related discipline
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to translate complex scientific content into easy-to-understand language
- Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to take initiative, as well as strong time management skills to meet deadlines
It would be a plus if you also possess:
- Experience with AI-powered tools, with Jira, Confluence, and/or with Adobe Illustrator
