ESSENTIAL DUTIES

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for sanitizing and cleaning-controlled work and laboratory environments according to Cleanroom Classifications. This position sanitizes machinery and equipment used to process or store products, in accordance with Quality System Procedures. Environmental testing confirms maintenance of required bio-burden levels.  In addition, this position is responsible for laundering gowns and related materials. Responsible for following established procedures when cleaning and sanitizing, and follows manufacturer’s instructions and organization Standard Operating Procedures for the preparation and use of cleaning solutions.

Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

Enter Responsibilities/Essential Duties

•

Sanitizes Production clean rooms and controlled environments in accordance with procedures.

•

Sanitizes and cleans Laboratory areas (Chemistry, Bio/Micro), and sterility suites.

•

Sanitizes and scrubs machines, tables, counters, trash containers, component bins, and conveyors.

•

Mops and scrubs floors, doors, walls and ceilings; sanitizes floor drains.

•

Prepares cleaning solutions and cleaning equipment.

•

Launders gowns, jumpsuits, hoods, shoe covers, towels, mops, etc.  Re-packages laundry for laboratories and makes ready for sterilization.

•

Gathers and removes trash from all production areas and laboratories.

•

Completes documentation and records of sanitation.

•

All work is completed following safe work practices and using required personal protective equipment.

•

May be responsible for the cleaning & janitorial services to support non-production/office areas.

•

Other duties as directed.
