The Sales Counter Associate serves as a key point of contact between customers, sales, and warehouse operations at our HVAC manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service at the sales counter, accurately processing orders, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates initiative, and works collaboratively to support operational and customer satisfaction goals.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p><p>Essential duties include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Manage daily sales counter operations and maintain strong customer relationships</li><li>Greet and assist customers professionally in person and by phone</li><li>Accurately pull, stage, and process will-call orders</li><li>Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments with internal teams and carriers</li><li>Prepare and ship small packages using FedEx, UPS, and other carriers</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales counter and customer-facing area</li><li>Communicate effectively with sales, warehouse, and shipping teams to resolve issues and ensure order accuracy</li><li>Identify and escalate customer or order discrepancies in a timely manner</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives related to customer service and operational efficiency</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs</li></ul><p>Core Competencies</p><ul><li><b>Teamwork & Collaboration:</b> Works effectively with cross-functional teams to meet customer and operational goals while fostering a respectful and positive work environment.</li><li><b>Initiative:</b> Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement, takes ownership of responsibilities, and follows through on tasks with minimal supervision.</li><li><b>Problem Solving:</b> Analyzes order, shipping, or customer issues and applies sound judgment to resolve them efficiently and accurately.</li><li><b>Customer Focus:</b> Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer satisfaction through responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to detail.</li><li><b>Time Management:</b> Effectively prioritizes tasks and meets deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.</li></ul><p>Position Qualifications</p><ul><li>Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday</li><li>Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification provided as needed)</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally</li><li>Proficient in computer systems, order processing, and shipping software</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to maneuver dollies, carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts (training provided)</li><li>Strong attention to detail with a focus on order accuracy</li><li>Positive, “can-do” attitude with strong interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to demonstrate and support a collaborative, respectful, and engaged workplace</li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required</li></ul><p>Working Conditions</p><ul><li>Work is performed in a combination of office, sales counter, and warehouse/manufacturing environments</li><li>Exposure to moderate noise levels, warehouse equipment, and varying temperatures</li><li>Requires frequent interaction with customers, delivery drivers, and internal teams</li><li>Overtime may be required during peak business periods</li></ul><p>Physical Requirements</p><ul><li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching</li><li>Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of materials up to 50 pounds</li><li>Repetitive use of hands for data entry, order processing, and material handling</li><li>Visual and auditory ability sufficient to operate equipment and communicate effectively</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, <span>candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes</span> as permitted or required by applicable law</span>.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
