Come explore Novanta.</p><p></p><p></p><p><span>We are looking for a talented, and highly motivated engineer who will be responsible for bringing new products to market and improving current product’s manufacturability, collaborating with the operations team to scale up production ensuring high levels of quality. Come join a team of deeply knowledgeable engineers that strive to build tools for the most reliable, efficient miniature motion control. </span></p><p></p><p><span>The selected engineer will be focused on developing and maintaining a set of recourses (libraries in C and Python and desktop applications in Qt).<br />These resources help our customers to commission and perform servo control tuning of our products</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Primary Responsabilities</span></b></p><div><ul><li>Develop and maintain a set of libraries for working with Novanta drives</li><li>Develop and maintain a set of advanced Desktop Human-Machine Interface tools for Novanta drives commissioning</li><li>Review, develop and maintain technical documentation of each project</li><li>Coordinate with testing department to develop and execute integration testing</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Experience, Education and competences</b></p><div><ul><li><span>Ms o PhD in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Control/Robotics Engineering</span> or technical related discipline</li><li>Minimum experience 2+ year</li><li>Fluent with Object-Oriented Design (Python or C++)</li><li>Motion control knowledge (motor types, feedback sensors, controls, etc.)</li><li>Enthusiast of the Robotics / Motion Control field</li><li>Experience in Version Control System (Git, SVN)</li><li>Experience in software testing procedures</li><li><span>Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Nice to have requirements</b></p><ul><li>Capacity to analyze a problem from multiple perspectives and explore creative solutions</li><li>Industrial communication protocols knowledge (EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, CANOpen)</li><li>Experience with EtherCAT Masters</li><li>Experience with any Real-time operating system</li></ul><p></p></div><div><p></p><p></p><p><span>#LI-UK1</span></p><p><span>#Barcelona</span></p><ul></ul></div><p></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>Novanta is proud to be an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action workplace.
