Residential Security Agent, Ad Hoc Part Time (San Francisco Bay Area)

We are currently seeking Residential Security Agents (Ad Hoc, Part-Time) to support our team in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Ad hoc agents are an essential part of our coverage model. They step in to fill shifts during team member PTO, training, call-outs, special events, and periods of increased client need, so our client receives seamless, uninterrupted protection.

This position is on-site at our client's various locations, including San Francisco, Woodside, and Palo Alto, CA. Assignments will vary based on client need.

Shifts are 12 hours (6:00–6:00, day or night) and may fall on any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, as the site maintains 24/7 coverage. Hours are not guaranteed and will fluctuate with operational demand. When coverage is needed, shifts may be scheduled in advance or offered on short notice. Ideal candidates have flexible availability, respond reliably when called upon, and can integrate quickly into an established team while upholding the same standards as full-time agents.

This role is well suited for experienced security professionals seeking supplemental work, those with flexible schedules, or anyone interested in building a relationship with Concentric for future full-time opportunities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Residential Security Agent (RSA) will serve a critical security function while maintaining a customer service-focused approach. The RSA will act as a member of the client’s residential physical security team providing onsite security services. The individual will monitor access control systems, support incident management, and coordinate emergency response. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act to support threat management and emergency response and be the first point of contact for client security needs. 
• Monitor and manage camera systems, access control technology, and other security tools
• Monitor critical facility functions as assigned by the client
• Advise and take action addressing unknown visitors, phone calls, and other contacts
• Maintain excellent rapport and open lines of communication regarding client needs, requests for support, service issues, and deliverables. 
• Provide a high standard of customer service delivery for clients, guests, and staff
• Ensure client deliverables are met across the full suite of security services 
• Proactively communicate with clients regarding risks to personnel, property, or privacy
• Ensure completion of any client-required plans, surveys, or reports.  
• Assist with customer service issues to ensure a consistently high level of service 
• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conform to and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• All required licenses and certification requirements, including:   
  • Currently, this is an unarmed position.  Current CA state guard card  
  • Must have current CPR/AED/First Aid certificate 
    
• A successful track record operating within a high-touch, customer service environment 
• Appropriate professional bearing and customer service skills   
• Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy 
• High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Skilled in synthesizing facts, concepts, and principles 
• Emotional intelligence and a customer-focused approach. 
• Valid Driver’s License 
• Agent must be of a physical standard to be able to:
  • Patrol a large, sprawling property almost entirely on foot, often covering long distances and navigating physically demanding terrain.
  • Assist client if injured or needs evacuating

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Operational experience with residential security teams, executive protection details and/or high-profile corporate security teams.
• Executive Protection and/or Tactical training (Military/Law Enforcement)

SAFETY & GROOMING POLICY:

• For safety reasons, all security personnel must wear their hair in a secure, controlled style while on duty. Hair must be styled or secured so it does not obstruct vision, interfere with equipment, or create a risk of being grabbed during a physical altercation. Acceptable methods include tying, slicking, pinning, braiding or otherwise securing the hair. All facial hair must be either clean shaven or kept neat at all times while on shift.
