Description
iotaMotion develops and commercializes robotic-assisted surgical technologies. The first commercially available product is iotaSOFT® Insertion System, which controls the insertion of a cochlear implant to improve outcomes for surgeons and subsequently patients. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to engage with surgeons to optimize their treatment of those with hearing loss.
RDI responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform engineering tasks at the direction of senior R&D Staff
- Prototype new and novel ideas as part of our early research programs
- Support laboratory experiments, including cadaveric lab experiments
- Author verification plans, protocols, test cases, summary reports
- Work with project managers and hardware/software engineers for execution for key programs and releases.
Requirements
Must have at least 2 years of college education in an Engineering discipline, including Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Robotic, Biomechanical, or Software Engineering.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes or skills:
- Design and rapid prototyping experience (3D CAD, 3D Printing, Machine Tooling)
- Experience with electrical circuit design
- Research programming experience in C++, Matlab, Python, or equivalent
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Willingness to learn and try, regardless of the assignment.
