Job Description

We are seeking a self-driven, hands-on Quality Technician to independently perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. This role is strongly maintenancefocused and requires ownership of equipment upkeep, spare parts, and maintenance records. Material inspection related activities are secondary and performed as needed to support operations. 

Principle Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Perform hands-on preventive maintenance (PM) and basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment 

  • Support minor repairs, inspections, and upkeep to ensure equipment reliability 

  • Develop in-house Preventive Maintenance capabilities to minimize the equipment downtime.  

  • Manage spare parts, tools, and maintenance records for assigned equipment 

  • Document and report maintenance and inspection activities accurately and on time 

  • Support incoming material inspection and metrology lab activities when required 

  • Conduct ESD compliance inspections in manufacturing areas 

  • Perform RoHS inspection using XRF and interpret inspection results 

  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and applicable standards 

  • Proactively identify opportunities for equipment reliability and process improvement 

  • Understands and ensures that processes comply with the applicable standards as well as Agilent Quality Management System processes. 

  • Support any ad-hoc activities to ensure the continuity of the operation. 

  • Update of the job activities as and when is requested from the management.  

Qualifications

  • Minimum higher education (O Levels or SPM). Specialized training/certification or Higher Nitec / Nitec or Diploma equivalent education preferred.

  • 2+ years' experience in quality control/inspection.

  • Technical education or relevant training/certification 

  • Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude; experience in equipment PM preferred 

  • Able to read and interpret equipment user manuals or any alternate resource to support troubleshooting during machine downtime. 

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality environments preferred 

  • Experience with SAP and metrology equipment is an advantage 

  • Good documentation, communication, and time‑management skills 

  • Ability to adapt, multi-task and prioritize assignments in a highly interrupt driven and fast-paced environment. 

  • Good interpersonal and communication skill to work collaboratively with various functional teams.  

  • Strong documentation and reporting skill.

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
