Quality Technician

Bio-Techne, and all of its brands, provides tools for researchers to further treat and prevent disease worldwide.</b></p><p></p><p style="text-align:left">Pay Range:</p>$23.20 - $31.90<p>Position Summary (General Purpose):</p><p>Quality Technician reports to the Quality Control Manager and is responsible for in-process and final QC testing of Bionostics products. Quality Technicians also participate in instrument validations, routine lab maintenance activities, and help monitor and sustain laboratory and process inventories.</p><p></p><p>Principle Responsibilities (Tasks):</p><p>Bio-Techne responsibilities for a Quality Technician:</p><ul><li>Understands and adheres to all quality technician job requirements.</li><li>Participates in proficiency rotations through key areas of responsibility in the lab.</li><li>Follows work instructions carefully and demonstrates good documentation practices.</li><li>Documents results, processes testing, and refers to past batch records when needed.</li><li>Compiles, analyzes and reports on data conformity.</li><li>Manages time well and will put in extended time as needed.</li><li>Demonstrates flexibility to work on multiple tasks with increased effectiveness.</li><li>Work may change from day-to-day within reasonable and expected boundaries.</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of work performed by the department and continues to learn how to perform multiple functions within the department.</li><li>Works independently with minimal supervision on routine tasks.</li><li>Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Follows priorities given by supervisor, completing other duties as assigned.</li><li>Supports and helps others on the team, participates in training of new employees.</li><li>Performs laboratory maintenance tasks.</li><li>Performs daily qualifications and routine maintenance as needed.</li><li>Understands and ensures proper function of equipment.</li><li>Understands and follows good laboratory practices and site-specific lab protocols regarding:</li><li>Chemical handling and hazards</li><li>Labeling</li><li>Safety procedures</li><li>Department specific SOP’s</li><li>Proper use and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation</li><li>Understands site applicable databases, including controlled documentation systems and data management software.</li><li>Collaborates with other departments and team members to make modifications to controlled documentation through the current electronic record keeping system.</li><li>Meets quality expectations.</li><li>Understands importance of good manufacturing practices and adheres to good laboratory practices.</li><li>Understands the basic ISO protocols and other applicable standards.</li><li>Completes all compliance trainings as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p>Participates in continuous process improvements efforts.
