The Quality Floater Tests/Inspects components and/or finished goods for acceptability
and functionality.
Interfaces with Production Management / Associates to contain nonconforming product as applicable.
Provides quality related support to validations / projects as needed.
Performs containment sampling and defect inspection work to ensure defective or out-of-specification materials are contained to reduce complaints and production inefficiency.
Provide inspector coverage support in VMS, injection molding and tubes production areas.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducts sampling, product testing, and visual inspection of components and/or finished goods; identifying nonconforming materials and ensuring proper containment as required.
2. Report all product nonconformance issues to Quality Management, and Production Supervisor.
3. Initiates Quality Holds (QNs) and ensures the notifications are completed accurately and completely.
4.Maintains adherence to all safety, environmental and quality system standards.
Engages in Safety, Quality, Production and Plant related programs as required (Safety Observations, Safety Gemba).
5. Completes accurate, timely, and legible documentation of all inspection/testing data. Record the results of inspections, tests, and audit findings on the appropriate forms and/or in the Quality Module of SAP.
6. Assists with validation and special quality related projects as requested.
7. Stat sample or contain hold products as applicable per the appropriate specification requirements.
8. Reads and interprets sampling plans to determine sample size and/or accept/reject criteria
9. If an identified Trainer, train new hire/transferred inspectors to inspect product per the appropriate specifications and utilize all gauges/ equipment pertaining to Quality Assurance testing.

False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and Jewelry is not allowed on the production floor including dermals. Any associate wearing dermals will be required to cover them while working on the production floor.
Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non-slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
