The individual in this role will be responsible for preparing calibrators and controls, performing annual verifications, assisting in method development and QC review, and other duties for which the individual is qualified on an as-needed basis. Shift:Monday- Friday8:00 AM- 5:00 PM What You’ll Work On<h3>Preparation & Verification</h3><ul><li>Preparation and verification of calibrators, controls, internal standards, and annual verification samples.</li><li>Complete preparation and verification activities promptly based on inventory and expiration dates.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with current SOPs and regulatory guidelines.</li></ul><h3>Data Review & Documentation</h3><ul><li>First review and data entry of chromatographic data from annual verifications and QC (LC / GC / Screening) verifications.</li><li>Complete all associated paperwork to properly document verification assessments.<ul><li>Expect 100% accuracy with no administrative errors.</li><li>Must meet SAMHSA and CAP‑FDT criteria.</li></ul></li></ul><h3>QC Program Management</h3><ul><li>Update and review QC in the BioRad Unity Program.</li><li>Maintain documentation for validation assessments and written communication with the Responsible Person.</li><li>Ensure compliance with current SOPs and regulatory requirements.</li></ul><h3>Security & Compliance</h3><ul><li>Adhere to all security procedures to protect the confidentiality of donor and proprietary method information.</li><li>Follow all current SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>BS in a science field or 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience.</li><li>Previous experience in extraction and first review.</li><li>Previous experience processing data associated with GC/MS and LC‑MS/MS (using MultiQuant) required.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Advanced understanding of:<ul><li>Analytical techniques and procedures</li><li>Laboratory instrumentation</li><li>GC/MS and LC‑MS/MS data review</li><li>R&D requirements for SAMHSA, CAP‑FDT, and relevant regulatory bodies</li><li>Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and related systems</li></ul></li><li>Strong communication skills with Supervisory staff; ability to maintain written communication records.</li><li>Ability to present data neatly and in an organized fashion.</li><li>Ability to detect chromatographic issues and suggest or implement corrective actions.</li></ul><h2>Competencies: </h2><h3>Physical Requirements</h3><ul><li>Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds</li><li>Full range of body movement</li><li>Vision and hearing corrected to acceptable norms</li><li>Math and reasoning skills to develop and communicate laboratory procedures and reports</li><li>Ability to cope with stress from:<ul><li>Production obligations</li><li>Legal proceedings</li></ul></li><li>Ability to read and comprehend SOPs, 49 CFR Part 40, and CAP‑FDT guidelines</li><li>Ability to transcribe data legibly</li><li>Strong communication skills with employees and supervisors</li><li>Ability to provide operational input and recommendations</li></ul><h3></h3><h3>Work Environment</h3><ul><li>Climate‑controlled office and laboratory environment</li><li>Potential exposure to toxic or hazardous materials</li><li>Domestic travel may be required for subpoenas/testimony or travel to other domestic Alere offices.</li></ul>* Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
